STAMPIN' UP! ORNATE STYLE PAPER-PIECED DAISY CARD

The focal point of today's card is three singular daisies, that instead of colouring I have paper-pieced.  I stamped the daisy, from Ornate Style, three times in Early Espresso ink, on a Whisper White piece cut with a Celebration Labels Die.  I then stamped the daisy heads three times on some Bumblebee paper, from the 2020-2022 In Color 6"x6" Designer Series Paper pack.  I stamped the leaf three times on Old Olive Designer Series Paper, from the Regals 6"x6" pack.  I fussy cut the daisies and leaves, and stuck them over the top of the images stamped on the white label die cut.

The Ornate Garden Designer Series Paper I've used on this card reminds me of flannelette sheets we had in the 1970s ... although ours were orange, brown and yellow.  My Dad was a travelling salesman for Dromorne Linen in New Zealand at the time; many of his customers were young women building up their "trousseau" in preparation for married life.  Do any of you remember that (rather outdated) custom?

I used the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder to add texture to the Old Olive background panel.  Along the top edge of this panel is an Early Espresso border, die cut with a Stitched Be Mine die.

I applied Shimmery Crystal Effects to the daisy centres, which is a bit clearer to see in this photo:

Listed below are all the products I used to make this card.  They are available to purchase from my online store, which can be accessed by clicking on any of the thumbnail images below.  If you live in Australia, and don't already have a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, I would love for you to shop with me.

Tonight I'll be taking part in the weekly Colour Creations Showcase, with some of my Stampin' Up! friends.  I hope you'll come back to see what I made with one of Stampin' Up!'s more challenging (in my opinion) colours!
