STAMPIN' UP! GORGEOUSLY MADE SYMPATHY CARD IN BLACKBERRY BLISS

While I was creating with Blackberry Bliss, and the Gorgeously Made bundle, for this week's Colour Creations blog hop, I decided to make a second card.  It's a very simple design, allowing the dramatic colour of the background to be the star of the card.

Starting off with a piece of paper from the Stargazing Designer Series Paper pack, I stamped the leafy design around the edges in Blackberry Bliss ink.  I sponged Blackberry Bliss ink around the paper edges, then mounted this piece on a Basic White mat, and a Blackberry Bliss card base.

The sentiment, from the Hope You Know stamp set, was stamped in Versamark ink on Basic White card, and heat-embossed in silver, then cut out using a Labels Aglow Die.  Before adhering the sentiment label, I tucked behind it a Basic White leafy die-cut, created with the Gorgeously Made Dies.

I used the Dark Blackberry Bliss Stampin' Blends marker to colour a length of silver 1/8" trim, and created a bow.  A few Rhinestone Basic Jewels were added to finish off my card.

Here's a close-up of the silver heat-embossed sentiment.  Even after 25 years of card-making, I find the result of heat-embossing a real "wow".

STAMPIN' UP! GORGEOUSLY MADE ANNIVERSARY CARD FEATURING BLACKBERRY BLISS

The Stampin' Up! colour we are showcasing in this week's Colour Creations blog hop is Blackberry Bliss.  I was inspired by a colour combination shared by Helen Read of All Things Stampy, but switched her original suggestion of Soft Sky, to Pool Party.  I have created, with these colours, another anniversary card for my stash:

I've used the Gorgeously Made stamp and die bundle, adding in a sentiment from the Ringed With Nature stamp set, as used on last week's card (as "happy anniversary" sentiments are a bit scarce on my stamp set shelves!).

I started off by embossing a piece of Thick Basic White card, with the Exposed Brick 3D embossing folder.  After adhering it to my Thick Basic White card base, I started work on my main art piece.

I cut a panel of Basic White card, 1/2 cm smaller all round than the embossed white background.  Using a border stamp from Gorgeously Made, I stamped the bottom of this piece in Pool Party and Lost Lagoon inks.  I then stamped the text all over the remaining white space, using Smoky Slate and Blackberry Bliss inks.  Using a Blending Brush, I lightly applied Blackberry Bliss ink over the top of the stamped text.

Die-cut leafy pieces, in Blackberry Bliss and Pool Party, were glued on top of the card layers.

On a scrap of Blackberry Bliss card, I stamped the sentiment in Versamark ink, added white embossing powder, and heat set it.  I cropped the sentiment with a label from the Gorgeously Made Dies.

A few Neutrals Adhesive-Backed Sequins were added above the sentiment.  I think the matte silver is a good complement to the Smoky Slate ink that subtly appears on my card.

STAMPIN' UP! TRUCKING ALONG LANDSCAPE BIRTHDAY CARD

I have again used the beautiful Copper Clay paper from the Fresh As A Daisy DSP pack, and some of the gorgeous Inked Botanicals DSP, with a rusty-looking little truck.  Here's my second Trucking Along creation:

Here's a closer look at the top part of the card.  I love the textured look of the Copper Clay paper, and the gorgeous subtle sheen of the copper Neutrals Adhesive-Backed Sequins.  The sentiment, from the Something Fancy stamp set, was stamped in Basic Gray ink on a strip of Inked Botanicals DSP.  It's cropped with a Gorgeously Made label die.

The truck was stamped in Basic Gray ink, and coloured with Lost Lagoon, Copper Clay, Smoky Slate and Basic Black Stampin' Blends markers.  The Color Lifter was used to help create a time-worn look on the truck's body.  The coloured truck was punched out, and glued onto a Stylish Shapes die-cut square.  I first stamped the presents in Memento Tuxedo Black ink (as I had forgotten I used Basic Gray for the rest of the truck and "road" stamping!), and coloured them using Pool Party, Smoky Slate and Copper Clay Stampin' Blends markers.  Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends were used to colour the patch of road.

Before sticking down the focal piece of my card, I cut a piece of Basic Gray card with the "torn edge" Gorgeously Made Die, and added it to the front panel to give the impression of asphalt/tarmac on which the truck is driving.

A couple of copper sequins were also added to the wheels of the truck.
