STAMPIN' UP! SIMPLY ZINNIA THANK YOU CARD

While I had out the Simply Zinnia bundle, and Flowering Zinnias DSP, I made another card that showcases the beautiful designs in the paper. This gorgeous Melon Mambo background paper is my favourite pattern in the pack:

I stamped the two large blooms in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, on Basic White card, and cut them out with the co-ordinating die.  I also stamped part of the three-flower image, and used Paper Snips to isolate one flower after die-cutting it.

Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends markers were used to colour the flowers.  The leaves were coloured with Lemon Lime Twist and Old Olive Stampin' Blends.  I added Daffodil Delight die-cut details to the centres of the two larger zinnias.

Using sponge daubers, I inked the edges of the patterned papers.  The Melon Mambo paper was sponged with Melon Mambo ink, and the strip of Lemon Lime Twist paper was sponged with Lemon Lime Twist ink.  Adhesive-Backed Shiny Sequins in complementary colours to my card elements were added.

The sentiment was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, directly onto a smaller piece of the gorgeous floral DSP.  I cropped it with a rectangular Everyday Details Die, sponged the edges with Melon Mambo ink,  and matted this piece onto a slightly larger piece of Basic Black card.

STAMPIN' UP! SIMPLY ZINNIA BIRTHDAY CARD

I love to use Designer Series Papers on my cards, and often use at least two patterns on each card.  At the risk of making cards that look a bit "same old, same old"  (you can probably recognise my cards from a mile away!), here's one of my go-to layouts that helps showcase Stampin' Up!'s beautiful papers.

This card features the Simply Zinnia bundle, and Flowering Zinnias Designer Series Papers (so bold and beautiful!).

I stamped the floral image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Basic White card, and employed my favourite colouring method, of using Stampin' Blends markers.  I used Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight on the flowers, and Lemon Lime Twist and Old Olive for the foliage.

The Pumpkin Pie paper has been sponged around the edges, with Pumpkin Pie ink.  The Basic Black decorative circle was cut using a Spotlight on Nature Die.

Adhesive-Backed Shiny Sequins, with both orange and green tones, add a bit of sparkle to my card.

I used my Dark Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Blends marker to colour some Black & Vanilla Large Check Ribbon.  A length of the coloured ribbon was laid across the card front, in between the two patterned papers, and a bow was added (with Glue Dots) after I'd adhered the floral die-cut over the top of the flat ribbon.

The Lemon Lime Twist patterned paper was inked around the edges, in Lemon Lime Twist ink.

I stamped the sentiment (from Simply Said) in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Basic White card, and cut it out using a Perennial Postage Die.
