"SNOW FAMILY" CHRISTMAS CARD FOR MM #164

I'm thrilled to be a Guest Designer on the Merry Monday Christmas Card Challenge blog this week!

Here's the challenge set by Nina:

In my 20 years of collecting card-making supplies, I seem to have nothing that would pass as a "funky hat"!  I dug out an old Hero Arts stamp, from the dark depths of a cupboard of unloved non-Stampin' Up!-products ... this little family of snowpeople is rocking a variety of headwear, so I decided it fit the challenge!

Everything other than the stamp is from Stampin' Up!; I've listed all those supplies at the bottom of my post, and you can order them from my online store by clicking on any of the thumbnail images.

Thanks for visiting my blog today, and thanks to the wonderful team at Merry Monday for having me play along this week on the Design Team!

STAMPIN' UP! GLITTERY FESTIVAL OF TREES, FOR MM #161

The challenge at Merry Monday this week caught my eye, while I was busy creating in my craft room last night:

I'm thrilled that Stampin' Up! has included the Festival of Trees stamp set in our new catalogue!  I stamped the flourishy tree in (now retired) Silver Encore ink, on Shimmery White card.  I then heat-embossed it with Iridescent Ice embossing powder.  The little bird perched on the tree was stamped in Versamark, then straight into Lost Lagoon ink, and on Shimmery white.  It was then embossed with Iridescent Ice embossing powder.  My 14-yr-old son had one criticism of this card - he said I should have left the bird off!  Here's a close-up of the sparkly, shimmery goodness:

.... and the card in its entirety:

The word "Christmas" is from one of the stamps in the Bright & Beautiful stamp set (sadly, no longer current).  I stamped it in Lost Lagoon ink, directly onto the Soft Sky panel.

All of the current SU! products to make this card are shown below, and may be purchased from my online store by clicking on any of the thumbnail images.

I've really enjoyed playing along at Merry Monday these past two weeks, and am going to try to get back into participating regularly.

JAI #245: STAMPIN' UP!'S FESTIVAL OF TREES IN GOLD

This week at Just Add Ink we have a Christmassy challenge, to make a papercraft project inspired by these beautiful images:

I've just taken delivery of some gorgeous new Designer Series Papers that are coming out in the Stampin' Up! Occasions catalogue on 6th January.  These papers have reignited my love for Sahara Sand; teamed with white, and gold, it made for the perfect neutral on my card for this challenge.

Each of the three trees has different detail ... the one on the left has tiny pearls adorning the flowery parts; the middle tree is embossed in white on Sahara Sand card, and the baubles embossed in gold; and the right tree is embellished with the sweet little gold bird (also from the Festival of Trees stamp set).

There are a couple of 'sneak peeks' on this card (I can't link to the products in my online store yet, as they're not available to buy until 6th January) .... the patterned paper, and the wide white jute ribbon.  Lovely, don't you think?

Here's my card:

Make sure you check out the AWESOME creations of the rest of the Just Add Ink Design Team - everyone has really outdone themselves this week!

Apart from the new products, everything used to make this card is listed below, and can be bought from my online store by simply clicking on an image.
