STAMPIN' UP! NATURE'S PRINTS THANK YOU CARD IN BLACKBERRY BLISS

The colour we're creating with this week is Blackberry Bliss - a lovely dramatic colour that I don't often use.  I have teamed it with Fresh Freesia, Basic White, and a couple of touches of Rich Razzleberry and silver.

Recently I had a beautiful weekend away, with three friends I've known since high school (38 years!).  We were lucky enough to have use of a holiday house belonging to the parents of one of my friends.  The card I'm sharing with you tonight is the "thank you" card I made for Gillian's parents.

To really show off Blackberry Bliss, I have used a piece of Designer Series Paper (sponged around the edges with Blackberry Bliss ink), matted on Blackberry Bliss card.  Don't you think it stands out beautifully against the Basic White Thick card base?

I cut a wreath from Basic White card, and leafy sprigs from Fresh Freesia and Rich Razzleberry card.  A couple of Silver Foil die cuts were also added to the wreath.

The sentiment is white heat-embossed, on Blackberry Bliss card, and die cut using the lovely label from the dies in the Nature's Prints bundle.  Unfortunately my eyesight didn't allow me to see the stray white specks that are obvious in the close-up photo.  Ah well - it's handmade!

I popped the sentiment label up on Mini Stampin' Dimensionals, and used Liquid Glue to attach a couple of tiny Loose Flower Flourishes in Fresh Freesia.

The bow was created using White Crinkled Seam Binding, that I coloured with my Dark Fresh Freesia Stampin' Blends marker.

Here's a closer look at the die-cut foliage, and the rhinestones I added as a finishing touch:

STAMPIN' UP! SENDING SMILES BUTTERFLY CARD IN BERMUDA BAY

This week's Colour Creations blog hop is all about Bermuda Bay, which is a teal in Stampin' Up!'s colour range.  I have teamed it with Crumb  Cake and Basic White.

I stamped the beautiful big Butterfly Brilliance stamp, using Versamark ink, on Basic White card.  I heat-embossed the image, with white embossing powder, and cut all the butterflies out in one pass, with a co-ordinating Brilliant Wings Die.  The butterflies were coloured with Stampin' Blends markers, in Bermuda Bay and Crumb Cake.

After die-cutting a Basic White frame, using Fabulous Frames Dies, I cut a Crumb Cake card panel slightly larger than the frame.  A couple of smaller butterflies were tucked under the frame (I cut a little off their wings, so they'd fit), and a couple on top of the frame, before the largest butterfly was adhered across the centre.  At the bottom of the Crumb Cake panel, I added a border cut from Blossoming Happiness Dies, in Bermuda Bay card.  The background paper is Bermuday Bay DSP, from the Brights 6"x6" paper pack.

The sentiment was die-cut and stamped using the Sending Smiles bundle.  Adhesive sheets come in very handy, when it comes to cutting the scripty sentiments ... attach the sheet to the back of your cardstock before cutting, and when die-cut it becomes a sticker.

I added a white crinkled seam binding bow to the bottom of the frame, and finished my card design by adding some Glossy Dots.
