STAMPIN' UP! HAPPY NEW YEAR CARD

The card I'm sharing today has no stamping on it ... it's all about the beautiful papers, and the super-versatile Playful Alphabet Dies.

Coming out in the new Stampin' Up! Mini Catalogue on 4th January is a lovely suite of products including the Heart & Home Designer Series Paper.  I've used both sides of one sheet of paper on my card.  The Misty Moonlight medallion-patterned paper has a slight grungy look to it.  The reverse of that pattern is the Basic Gray woodgrain pattern that you see on the top third of the card front.

After adhering my patterned papers to a mat of Basic Gray card, I added a Misty Moonlight zig-zag border, created with the Basic Borders Dies.

I added some Adhesive Sheets (cut to size) to the reverse side of scraps of Silver Foil card, Ombre Specialty Paper, and Basic Gray card.  From these pieces I cut out the letters to make the sentiment for my card.  Using Adhesive Sheets effectively creates stickers once the letters are cut out.  No glue mess, and easy placement on the card front.

In this close-up photo, you can better see the pattern on the background paper.  The dark blue letters (cut from Ombre Specialty Paper) have a slight glimmer to them, which hopefully you can see.

Using Stitched Stars Dies, I cut stars from Basic Gray and Misty Moonlight card, and Silver Foil and Ombre Specialty Paper scraps.  I placed the stars on the woodgrain paper panel, and added some twine that has Misty Moonlight, silver and white strands.

Listed below are all the  current products I used to make this card.  I can't yet link to the Heart & Home Designer Series Papers in my online store, as they become available for purchase on 4th January (unless you sign up to be a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, in which case you get early access to all the new products!).

STAMPIN' UP! CHRISTMAS BAUBLE CARD #2 IN SOFT SUCCULENT

Today's card was made at the same time as I made the card shared yesterday.  I used mostly the same products, but switched things around a bit.

The two vertical panels of patterned paper are from the Tidings of Christmas DSP pack.  Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen are just beautiful together, aren't they?

The bauble is the reverse of yesterday's.  I cut the solid background bauble from Evening Evergreen card, and embossed it with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder.  The detailed bauble overlay was cut from Soft Succulent card, to which I had attached Adhesive Sheet before cutting.  This makes the die cut into a sticker, and means no glue mess!

Here's a close-up of the bauble, which I decorated with Wonderful Gems.

The sentiment on this card is from the Merriest Moments stamp set.  I stamped it in Soft Succulent ink on a strip of Basic White card, and flagged the ends using the Tailored Tag punch.  Stampin' Dimensionals were used to pop up the sentiment over the Gold Metallic die-cut string and bow, on which the ornament hangs.

STAMPIN' UP! CHRISTMAS BAUBLE CARD IN SOFT SUCCULENT

Several months ago, I made what I thought was plenty of Christmas cards for the year ... but now that we are a week out from Christmas, I find myself desperately short.  Oh dear; I didn't plan that well.  Of course now I don't have time (or the energy) to create more, so must apologise to many dear friends that there will be no card this year. 😞

Here is one I made back in June or July, that I realised I haven't shared yet.  It features a die-cut bauble, created with the beautiful Delicate Baubles Dies.

The card base is Soft Succulent, one of my favourite greens for Christmas crafting this year.  To a mat of Basic White card, I adhered two patterned papers from the Tidings of Christmas Designer Series Paper pack.

The ornament base layer is Soft Succulent card, embossed with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder.  The detailed die-cut layer is Evening Evergreen; I attached Adhesive Sheet to the back of the cardstock before cutting, so the die-cut piece effectively became a sticker.  I added some In Color Jewels to the "stars" on the bauble, as well as elsewhere on the card.  The bow from which the bauble hangs was cut from Gold Metallic Paper.

I stamped the sentiment, from the Sparkle of the Season stamp set, in Evening Evergreen ink.  After cutting it out using the Messages Die, I used Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to pop it up over the "string" above the bauble.

Listed below are all the products I used to make this card.  If you live in Australia, and would like to shop with me for your Stampin' Up! supplies, you can get to my online store by clicking on any of the thumbnail images below.

Tomorrow I will be sharing another bauble card, using the same simple "ingredients" as today's, but with a few variations.
