Today's card is a continuation of my resolve to use, at least once, some retiring Stampin' Up! product. The Country Gingham Designer Series Paper was a "must have" for me, and it has been sitting unloved in my craft room while I haven't been crafting in recent months.
I cut strips of the paper, in Petal Pink, Balmy Blue, Sweet Sorbet and Mint Macaron, and adhered them to a piece of Basic White card. After cutting stitched rectangles in this piece, using a Picture This Die, I glued the die-cut pieces back in place. I think this gives some additional subtle interest to the gingham layer. A Balmy Blue mat separates the main panel from the Thick Basic White card base.
On Basic White card, I stamped (in Memento Tuxedo Black ink) two of the floral sprays, and die-cut them. I used Petal Pink and Sweet Sorbet inkpads for the "fill in" stamped flowers, and Mint Macaron for the leaves. Because the irregularity of the "artsy" stamp was a bit much (or too little?) for me, I used my Dark Mint Macaron Stampin' Blends marker to fill in a bit more of the stems.
Iridescent Rhinestones pick up both the pink and blue on my card.
