STAMPIN' UP! BEAUTY ABOUNDS FRIENDSHIP CARD IN BLUSHING BRIDE & CRUMB CAKE

Today's card features the Beauty Abounds stamp set, and co-ordinating Butterfly Beauty dies.  As on yesterday's card, I have also used the Swirly Frames stamp set.  I'm doing double duty with these sets - they've both been neglected!

I first stamped, in Crumb Cake ink, the large rectangular frame on a piece of Whisper White card.  Inside the frame I white-embossed the flourishy flower and leaf image from Beauty Abounds.  I used Blushing Bride, Crumb Cake and Pear Pizzazz Stampin' Write Markers to colour the delicate flowers, leaves, and scrolls.

The sentiment is stamped in Soft Suede ink ... and despite using my Stamparatus for placement, I still managed to stamp it not quite straight!  To my mind, that just adds to the beauty of a handmade card.  Perfectly imperfect. :)

Can you see that I have stamped butterflies on the Blushing Bride piece of In Good Taste Designer Series Paper?  I inked the stamp, stamped it off on scrap paper, and then stamped onto the patterned paper, to give a subtle effect.

STAMPIN' UP! BEAUTY ABOUNDS PASTEL FRIENDSHIP CARD

Beauty Abounds is a stamp set that has been sitting on my shelf, unloved, for a long time.  My personal challenge at the moment is to use some of my many products that have been neglected!

For today's card, I chose this pretty, soft, colour combination:

I started my design by repeatedly stamping the two sizes of "bubble" stamps (from Beauty Abounds), on a piece of Whisper White card, in the various colours.  I then inked up, in Versamark ink, the large circle stamp from Swirly Frames, and stamped it over the bubbles.  I heat-embossed the circles with white embossing powder, and a heat tool.  I stamped and embossed one circle at a time, so I could work out placement (and reduce mess with powder on sticky ink!).  Finally, for the background piece, I filled in most of the white space with the splatter stamp from Beauty Abound, in Blushing Bride ink.
