STAMPIN' UP! FLOATING & FLUTTERING THINKING OF YOU CARD

Today's card is the result of my first play with the gorgeous new Floating & Fluttering bundle, from the Mini Catalogue that goes live tomrrow.  I had fun playing with colour on this one.  I stamped, die cut, and coloured two lots of the butterflies and leaves, so will have another card to share with you tomorrow.  The three butterflies, and three stems of leaves, are all one stamp and co-ordinate with a die of which there are two in the bundle - very handy for cutting multiples.

I used Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends markers for the foliage, and Bermuda Bay and Highland Heather Stampin' Blends markers for the butterflies.  The large sentiment label is part of the bundle, but the stamped sentiment is from the Rooted in Nature stamp set.  The gorgeous black and white paper is part of the new True Love Designer Series Paper pack.

This closer photo shows how I stamped, on the background Bermuda Bay card panel, the butterflies and leaves in Versamark ink.  The embellishments are new Matte Black Dots.

I can't yet link to the new products in my online store, but I have listed below the current products used on my card.  If you live in Australia, and would like to shop with me for your Stampin' Up! supplies, you can get to my online store by clicking on any of the thumbnail images below.

AWHT COLOUR CREATIONS SHOWCASE - WEEK 2: BASIC GRAY

Today I am joining with a number of other Stampin' Up! team members, from Claire Daly's Art With Heart team, in a Colour Creations Showcase.  Catherine Proctor is co-ordinating this weekly share, and has a list on her blog of all participants.  We'd love for you to visit all our blogs, and leave some comment love!

This week's colour of choice, for our projects, is Basic Gray. If you're a regular visitor to my blog, you might know that I love to make masculine cards.  Basic Gray immediately made me think of a "guy" card.  I chose to combine these Stampin' Up! colours on my project:

Here's my card, which features Geared Up Garage, and co-ordinating Garage Gears dies.  The big, bold sentiment is a mix of stamps from Rooted in Nature and Family Party.  The Stamparatus came in very handy when it came to placement of the sentiment inside the swirly circle.

To create the textured background, I applied Basic Gray ink to the inside of my Tasteful Texture embossing folder.  This can be done by swiping the inkpad direct to the embossing folder, or by brayering ink onto the folder.  I then placed a piece of Basic Gray card inside the inked embossing folder, and ran it through my die-cutting and embossing machine.

The panel that looks like it has oil stains on, is a piece of In Good Taste Designer Series Paper, that I've stamped (using the splotchy "oil stain" stamp from Geared Up Garage) in Smoky Slate and Basic Gray inks.  I made the splotches a bit darker at the top of the panel, to give the car some grounding.

Stampin' Blends markers allow you to customise all sorts of embellishments.  I used my Dark Poppy Parade Stampin' Blends marker to colour some Frosted & Clear Epoxy Droplets, to add a pop of colour to the bottom third of the card.

Listed below are all the Stampin' Up! products I used to make this card.  They are available to purchase from my online store, which can be accessed by clicking on any of the thumbnail images below.

Be sure to head to Catherine's blog, to see who else is sharing their Basic Gray creations tonight.

STAMPIN' UP! FLOWERS FOR EVERY SEASON THINKING OF YOU CARD IN PINKS

Magenta Madness is a beautiful, vibrant, new In Colour being added to Stampin' Up!'s range on 3rd June; it's the larger blooms on this paper (showing up a bit purple in my photo).  The sheet of paper I used on today's card has a rather "in your face" colour combination, with Flirty Flamingo in the background. (According to the details on the pack, it's probably a toned down Poppy Parade, but I'm going with Flirty Flamingo!)  I initially thought the Flirty Flamingo was too orange to complement Magenta Madness, but I now rather like the combination.

I kept my card very simple, to let the paper do all the talking.  I've added some ribbon from the Flowers For Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack.  It is a white, linen-feel, ribbon.  I coloured some of it with my Dark Flirty Flamingo Stampin' Blends, but left the bow white.  The sentiment (from Rooted in Nature) is stamped in Flirty Flamingo ink, and I've added a few Clear & Frosted Epoxy Dots.

I hope you will come back to see the card I'll be sharing tomorrow.  It's in yet another combination of colours, and I think the designs are really sweet.

STAMPIN' UP! ROOTED IN NATURE/FOREVER GREENERY MASCULINE BIRTHDAY CARD

The new Forevery Greenery Designer Series Paper contains images in an array of Stampin' Up!'s greens.  It is so beautiful!  I've used only a small panel on today's card, and paired it with a woodgrain-patterned piece from the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper pack (a firm favourite already).  The wood stump, and leaves, are from the Rooted in Nature bundle.  I stamped the leaves in Pear Pizzazz, Garden Green and Shaded Spruce inks, on the same coloured card pieces, then die cut them.  The Garden Green and Shaded Spruce leaves have also been embossed, with vein detail.

The sentiment is from the Here's A Card stamp set, and I have combined Old Olive/Pretty Peacock reversible ribbon with some new Early Espresso Faux Suede Trim.

Over the next few days, I will be showcasing some bright and cheery new Designer Series Paper.  I hope you will come back to visit, to see the lovely new goodies coming our way in just over a week!

STAMPIN' UP! GARDEN LANE "THINKING OF YOU" VERTICAL PANEL CARD

Instead of using four rectangles of Garden Lane Designer Series Paper as I have in my last couple of cards, I have cut four strips and adhered them to a panel of Whisper White card.  A bold sentiment, a few leafy die cuts and some sequins (boy, I'm loving those adhesive-backed sequins in Soft Sea Foam, and Mint Macaron, aren't I?!) finish off the card:

Listed below are all the Stampin' Up! products I used to make this card.  If you click on any of the thumbnail images below, you'll be taken to my online store.  I'd love to help you out with your Stampin' Up! supplies if you live in Australia, and don't already have a Stampin' Up! demonstrator.

Tomorrow I have another card using Garden Lane Designer Series Paper  ... then, I think it's time to move on to other things. :)
