STAMPIN' UP! BAND TOGETHER BIRTHDAY CARD

Today is the last day of Stampin' Up!'s current Annual Catalogue, and lots of gorgeous products are leaving the Stampin' Up! range.  My card today is a final hurrah, for the Band Together bundle, Best Plaid Builder Dies, Artistry Blooms Designer Series Paper, Subtle 3D embosing folder, and Rich Razzleberry Stampin' Blends markers.  Both ribbons I've used are retiring, as are the Perfect Parcel Dies (used to crop the sentiment)

.

I used the Detailed Trio punch in each corner of the Artistry Blooms DSP panel, before adhering the paper to a Rich Razzleberry card mat.  I then embossed this piece with the Subtle 3D embossing folder.

To create the "lattice" piece on which the flowers sit, I used a Best Plaid Builder Die and Crumb Cake card.  I snipped the ends of the piece, at irregular lengths, using my Paper Snips.  A Square Vellum Doily sits between the paper background, and the Crumb Cake lattice.

Using glue dots, I adhered a doubled-over length of Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon to my card.  I mounted the die-cut sentiment over the top, using Stampin' Dimensionals, and added a Blackberry Bliss Striped Ribbon bow to finish off.

Listed below are all the products I used to make this card.  If you live in Australia, and would like to shop with me for your Stampin' Up! supplies, you can get to my online store by clicking on any of the thumbnail images below.

In the coming days I will be sharing some cards made with gorgeous new products from the new Annual Catalogue that goes live tomorrow.  I'm very excited to have new "toys", and five beautiful new In Colors, to play with!

STAMPIN' UP! PAPER BLOOMS FRIENDSHIP CARD IN ROCOCO ROSE

Today is the LAST DAY to earn free products, with a $90+ or $180+ Stampin' Up! order.

My card today has been made with the gorgeous Paper Blooms Designer Series Paper, and Pierced Blooms Dies.

The colours in this card are Rococo Rose, Petal Pink, Old Olive and white.  Here's a closer look at the flowers and leaves, all die cut from one of the Paper Blooms sheets of paper (that has large watercolour-look circles all over it, in various colours).

The Basic White Stitched Shape circle, around which I've arranged the flowers, was embossed with one of the Greenery Embossing folders.  The sentiment, from the Band Together stamp set, was white-embossed on Rococo Rose card, then cut out using a Tasteful Labels Die.

A couple of leftover flowers were added to the inside of the card, to finish it off:

Listed below are all the products I used to make this card.  The Paper Blooms Designer Series Paper has a $0 value, as it cannot be purchased.  It is only available as a freebie, with a $90+ product purchase, up until the end of today.

STAMPIN' UP! SNOW FRONT MASCULINE BIRTHDAY CARD #1

Stampin' Up! has released a few stamp sets of a similar genre ... Snow Front, Water Front, and My Meadow.  I am not much of a "build a scene" person, when it comes to stamping, so I'd not yet used any of these stamp sets (despite owning two of them).  I was a bit intimidated, and didn't know where to start.  That was, until I saw these cards by Linda Dalke.  I'm a visual learner, and Linda made me realise I didn't need to be scared to play with these stamps!

Snow Front, despite its name, doesn't have to be used just for snowy scenes.  The stamp set contains great mountain, tree and water images.  In very little time I had created two panels that look like little watercolour paintings - and I love this technique!

Starting with Stampin' Up!'s Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper, I cut a piece in half; this way you can get two card fronts from one sheet.  I stamped the mountains in Crumb Cake and Soft Suede ink, the trees and grass in Old Olive and Mossy Meadow.  Balmy Blue was used for the sky, and Pool Party for the river.  After stamping all the "bits", I used a Water Painter to blur the edges, and blend it all.

Here's the result of my first attempt:

I applied Old Olive ink (directly from the inkpad) onto the inside of my Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder, then embossed a piece of Old Olive card.  I love the extra depth that this application of ink gives to the embossing.  To finish the card, I added some Ornate Garden ribbon, and one of the wooden In Good Taste Elements.

Tomorrow I'll share the second card I created using this same technique.
