This week's Colour Creations blog hop is all about Real Red.
I have used this lovely red on a mainly white card, with a few Crumb Cake accents, to mark the occasion of my son's and daughter-in-law's second wedding anniversary.
Most of the decoration on my card is courtesy of the beautiful Bouquet of Love Hybrid Embossing Folder, which comes with a set of dies (the hearts and flowers included).
On my Thick Basic White card base, I laid down a layer of Crumb Cake card. After cutting a panel of Thick Basic White card, 5mm shorter and narrower than the Crumb Cake layer, I used Playful Alphabet Dies to cut out "2 years". I then ran this card layer through my Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine, with the Bouquet of Love Hybrid Embossing Folder. I also embossed/cut a Real Red piece of card, and just retained the embossed heart, to inlay into the Basic White panel.
This first close-up shot shows how the Crumb Cake layer shows through the die-cut number 2. I added a couple of Crumb Cake die-cut flowers, with centres of rhinestones coloured with my Dark Real Red Stampin' Blends marker.
