STAMPIN' UP! BROADWAY BIRTHDAY & BRIGHTLY GLEAMING MASCULINE BIRTHDAY CARD #2

This birthday card, made for my nephew, features my current favourite colour combo of Night of Navy, Copper, and Very Vanilla.  I've used two of the fabulous papers from the Brightly Gleaming Designer Series Paper pack; great for guy cards, don't you think?

I've taken  a couple of close-up shots of some of the copper elements, so you can get a better "view" of them.  I stamped the birthday boy's age in Celestial Copper Delicate ink.  You can best see the shimmer on the "4".

STAMPIN' UP! BROADWAY BIRTHDAY & BRIGHTLY GLEAMING MASCULINE CARD

After making my son's birthday card, I came up with a couple of other masculine birthday cards, using different papers from the Brightly Gleaming paper collection.

Here is the card I made for a friend whose birthday is the same day as Ethan's (or, more accurately, on whose birthday Ethan was born!):

Until I opened this pack of paper, I had barely used copper on my cards.  I am loving the navy and copper colour combination.  Here's a closer shot of the copper-embossed dots on the stamped "WISH":

STAMPIN' UP! BROADWAY BIRTHDAY MASCULINE CARD

Yesterday Jack, my eldest, turned 23.  We went out for dinner last night to celebrate, so I have held off until he had received his card, before posting photos on here!

This year's card has an elegant theme.  My starting point was the Black Foil Sheets, from Stampin' Up!s Holiday Catalogue.  I've teamed the shiny card with the candle-patterned paper from the Broadway Bound Specialty DSP pack.  The "23" was cut from another strip of the DSP - very handy, that the two digits I needed were right next to one another!  I embossed the Black Foil Sheet with the Oh My Stars embossing folder, and used a vertical strip of super-narrow washi tape.  A gold-embossed and die-cut party hat, and silver candle embellishments, finished the card.
