Monday nights, until late November, are Heart of Christmas blog hop nights. A group of us, all Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around Australia, is sharing Christmas projects using Stampin' Up! products, in the hope that we'll inspire your Christmas crafting.
The Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper pack contains so many beautiful designs. I've used two of the patterned papers on my card(s) this week. The gorgeous tree-filled paper inspired me to ink up some Christmas trees from the Trees For Sale stamp set. I have cut them out using the co-ordinating Tree Lot Dies, which are FREE until the end of August, if you order $180+ of Stampin' Up! catalogue product.
I stamped one each of the three different-sized trees on Basic White card. The solid tree images were stamped in Soft Succulent ink, and the darker layer was stamped over the top in Evening Evergreen ink. I tucked a Stylish Shapes circle, die-cut from vellum, behind the trees, and added a gold metallic paper star, cut using a die from the Tree Lot Die set.
One of my favourite parts of this card is the bow, made from Soft Succulent Satin Shimmer Ribbon. It's beautiful ribbon, don't you think?
The sentiment, from Trees For Sale, was stamped in Evening Evergreen ink on a strip of Basic White card cut to the width of the DSP panels on my card front. A couple of gold festive pearls were added to finish off. To complement the gold star, I added a thin strip of the same gold metallic paper at the bottom of the striped DSP layer.
In keeping with my 2022 resolve to make two cards each time I create a Christmas card, I made a second card, with a few small changes. Instead of a Thick Basic White card base, I used Soft Succulent card for the base, and added an Evening Evergreen layer under the Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper.
Inside this card, I added a Basic White card panel, on which I stamped the largest of the three trees:
