STAMPIN' UP! BEST DAY & READY TO RIDE CAT BIRTHDAY CARD

I chose a couple of the great Ready To Ride Designer Series Paper patterns, to use as the background for today's card.  Orange, grey and black is a striking colour combo, don't you think?  I especially like it for masculine cards.

My card features a new Online Exclusive product - Radiating Stitches Dies.  Love them.

I stamped the main image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Basic White card, and cut it out using the smaller rectangular Radiating Stitches Die.  The Stampin' Blends markers I used to colour the cat, cupcake case and balloon are Pumpkin Pie, Smoky Slate, Basic Black and Granny Apple Green.

I stamped the confetti in Pumpkin Pie and Basic Gray.

The matted rectangles were raised up on Black Stampin' Dimensionals.  When adhering dark coloured card, the black Stampin' Dimensionals look more subtle (side-on) than white ones.

After adding some Basic Black twine, from the Baker's Twine Essentials pack, I decided to add a couple of knotted strands of Pumpkin Pie baker's twine.  Even though I have twine in this colour, I decided to custom-colour some white twine, using a Dark Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Blends marker.  It gives a slightly more intense colour, that I like.

The sentiment was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a scrap of Basic White card, and cropped using a Stylish Shapes Die.  I finished off my card design with a few Matte Black Dots.

STAMPIN' UP! BEST DAY & FANCY FLORA BIRTHDAY CARD

The Best Day stamp set is just THE cutest set, with images that are great fun to colour, and fab birthday sentiments.  Today I'm sharing the first of a series of cards I've made, so prepare to be inundated a bit in the coming days!

The colours for my stamped image were decided by the beautiful Fancy Flora Designer Series Paper that I chose for the background.

I stamped the "cupcake cat" in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, on Basic White card, and cropped it with a Stylish Shapes circle die.  I used Stampin' Blends markers in Smoky Slate, Fresh Freesia, Balmy Blue, Highland Heather, Orchid Oasis and Granny Apple Green, to colour the image.

The swirling confetti in the background is stamped in Balmy Blue, Highland Heather and Fresh Freesia inks.  I cut a second Stylish Shapes circle from Highland Heather card, and offset it slightly beneath the main circle, to give a bit of contrast against the busy background paper.

Can you see I have used two designs from the Fancy Flora DSP pack?  I used an Around The Bend Die to cut a curved-edge piece, that I adhered to the bottom quarter of the main DSP panel.  The overlapping circles and the sentiment both sit on this piece.

The fun sentiment was stamped in Highland Heather ink (stamped a couple of times, using the Stamparatus, to get good ink saturation) on Basic White card.  I cropped it with a Stitched Rectangle Die.

The embellishments used to finish off my card are Solid Faceted Gems (Balmy Blue), Opaque Adhesive-Backed Gems (Fresh Freesia), and Orchid Oasis Baker's Twine.

Listed below are all the products I used to make this card.  If you live in Australia, and would like to shop with me for your Stampin' Up! supplies, you can get to my online store by clicking on any of the thumbnail images below.

Don't the cat and the fun colours on this card bring a smile to your face?  I hope you'll come back tomorrow to see what I made using this stamp set, and different papers.
