HEART OF CHRISTMAS WEEK 21: STAMPIN' UP! TWINKLING LIGHTS BLACK AND GOLD CARD

It's almost time for the last Heart of Christmas blog hop for the year ... next week will be the final share from our group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around Australia.  Sadly, tonight IS my final share for the year, as I am about to have ankle surgery.  The recovery period is pretty long, and I have to elevate my leg for several weeks, which means no playing in my craft room.

The card I am sharing is another in my series of Lights Aglow, and Twinkling Lights, cards.  It's unmistakeably a "Christine card", with the layout, but I stepped outside my usual colour comfort zone with this one.  I love the drama of the black papers in the Lights Aglow Designer Series Paper pack.  For tonight's card, I teamed two of the black patterns with Distressed Gold DSP, and Very Vanilla card.  It's a little hard to see in the photos, but in addition to the starry paper, I laid a wide strip of black bokeh-patterned paper across the card, in the bottom third of the front panel.

In this photo, you can better see the gorgeous shine and patina of the Distressed Gold DSP.  I cut the scalloped rectangle layer using Scalloped Contours Dies, and used the same lovely paper for the die-cut star atop the tree.

The embellishments added to the tree are Gold Festive Pearls, and Champagne Rhinestones coloured with a Dark Basic Black Stampin' Blends marker.

I gold heat-embossed the sentiment, from Christmas to Remember, on Very Vanilla card, and cut it out using a Stylish Shapes Die.  It's popped up on Mini Stampin' Dimensionals, across the tree that is die-cut from Very Vanilla card.

HEART OF CHRISTMAS WEEK 19: STAMPIN' UP! SPRUCED UP OUTLINES BAUBLE CARD

It's Monday night, which means it is time for the Heart of Christmas blog hop.  A group of us, all Stampin' Up! demonstrators in Australia, shares ideas for using Stampin' Up! products in your Christmas crafting.

For the rather simple design of my card, I used a LOT of dies and embossing folders! 😂

I started off by die-cutting some baubles from Crumb Cake card, using the Spruced Up Outlines Dies.  Using Adhesive Sheet on the back of the card before die-cutting made for mess-free assembly of my design.  I embossed the inner part of the baubles with a Charming Landscapes embossing folder.  When it came time to put my card together, I opted to switch out the inner part of the centre bauble, to one die-cut from the Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper used in the background.

From Thick Basic White card, I die-cut a Stitched Rectangle, and embossed this piece using the Merry Melody 3D embossing folder.  I adhered it to a slightly larger panel of Crumb Cake card, and stuck these layers down onto the DSP, that I'd sponged the edges of using Real Red ink.

Here's a closer look at the embossed details.  I added bows made from Real Red ribbon, and some Cherry Cobbler adhesive-backed pearls to finish off the card.

The sentiment, from Christmas to Remember, was stamped in Real Red ink on Basic White card.  The sentiment label from the Labels Aglow Die set was the perfect size for cropping the sentiment.
