AWHT HEART OF CHRISTMAS - OCTOBER

Tonight I am taking part in a monthly Heart of Christmas showcase, co-ordinated by Judy May.  My friends and I hope to inspire you to use Stampin' Up! products for your Christmas projects.

The colours I chose to use on my Christmas card were taken from Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper - some of my favourite paper this festive season, and it's on sale until the end of October.

My card features some new products, that are coming out next month.  As a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, I was able to purchase them in advance of general release ... and they're lovely!  The Curvy Christmas stamp set was used to stamp the row of small trees, in Mossy Meadow ink on Pear Pizzazz card.  I used Pear Pizzazz ink to fill space below the trees with the dotty stamp (that is probably meant to be snow, but that doesn't generally apply to us in the Southern Hemisphere at Christmas).  The sentiment is also from this stamp set.  I stamped it in Versamark ink, on some of the Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper, sprinkled white embossing powder over the ink, and heat embossed it with my heat tool.

I have used one of the new Curvy Dies (also out next month) to cut the decorative edge on the Pear Pizzazz card panel.  This piece has also been embossed using the beautiful Evergreen Forest 3D embossing folder.

Here's a closer look at the embossed background, and the lone die-cut tree that was created using the In the Pines bundle.  On a scrap of Pear Pizzazz card, I stamped the tree outline in Mossy Meadow ink.  I stamped the "fill in" foliage in Pear Pizzazz ink.

Listed below are the current products I used to create this card.  The Curvy Christmas stamp set and Curvy Dies are not available to purchase until 3rd November, but if you would like to shop with me for any of the other products I've used, you can get to my online store by clicking on any of the thumbnail images below.  NB:  My store is for Australian residents only.

STAMPIN' UP! IN THE PINES SINGLE TREE CHRISTMAS CARD

I've used what I call the "scribbly" tree stamp, from In the Pines, as the focal point on today's Christmas card.  It's an outline stamp, that also has a co-ordinating stamp that fills in the colour.  I stamped the tree in Old Olive, and added Early Espresso ink to the tree trunk.

Although it's a little hard to tell from my photo, I used the Dark Pool Party Stampin' Blends marker to colour the rhinestones, to co-ordinate with the other elements on the card.

The beautiful Evergreen Forest embossing folder adds a bit of detail to both the Old Olive oval and the Whisper White strip across the card.

A bit of simple stamping was added to the Whisper White panel inside the card.  This crop of little scribbly trees is also two stamps - the outline, and the fill-in of the foliage:

Listed below are all the products I used to make this card.  If you'd like to buy them from my online store, and you live in Australia, just click on any of the thumbnail images below to start shopping.  :)

AWHT HEART OF CHRISTMAS - AUGUST

Tonight I am taking part, with some of my Stampin' Up! team mates, in a monthly Heart of Christmas share.  Judy May is co-ordinating our showcase, and she has a comprehensive list on her blog of all the participants.  We hope you'll visit all our blogs, and get some inspiration for using Stampin' Up! products in your Christmas crafting.

I have a couple of cards to share with you.  Even though they are fairly simple designs, I have used lots of different products!  (One of the dangers of having a craft room stocked like a scrapbooking store, LOL.)

My cards started with a decision to use the new In The Pines bundle, of Christmas tree stamps and dies.  I dug out the beautiful papers (and gold star embellishments) from the Most Wonderful Time Product Medley, which carried over from last year.  I have embossed the snow banks with one of the Wrapped in Texture embossing folders.

On my first card, I've used a sentiment from Perfectly Plaid (gold-embossed on Whisper White card).  The oval sentiment piece is popped up on Stampin' Dimensionals. The gold foil strip is embossed with stitching, using the Happy dies.  I made the white bow from Flowers For Every Season ribbon.

A closer look at some of the texture on the card:

... and the lovely gold detail on the Designer Series Paper:

My second card uses most of the same products.  The sentiment (also gold-embossed on Whisper White card) is from the Christmas Gleaming stamp set, and the ribbon is from the Ornate Garden Ribbon Combo.

I really love the detailed die-cut tree that overlays beautifully onto the solid tree die cut.

All of the products I've used on my cards are available to purchase from my online store.  If you live in Australia, I would love for you to shop with me for your crafting supplies.  My online store can be reached by clicking on any of the thumbnail images below.

Make sure you check out the links, on Judy's blog, to everyone else's Christmas creations.  You're sure to get lots of lovely ideas.
