STAMPIN' UP! FLOURISHING PHRASES FOR MOTHERS' DAY

I was short of inspiration for Mothers' Day cards this year, until I found these gorgeous cards by Kimberly Van Diepen.

Here's what I made for my mother (in purple) and mother-in-law (in yellow):

On the first card, I used some retired ribbon, from Sale-A-Bration, and on the second card I used Daffodil Delight double-stitched ribbon that will be available from 1st June.

All the current Stampin' Up! products used on these cards are listed below, at the bottom of my post.  If you'd like to purchase them from my online store, just click on one of the thumbnail images.

I have had a beautiful Mothers' Day, with both of my boys.  We went out for lunch together, then visited both of my sons' grandmothers.  A lovely family day.

Here's a photo of me, with my darling sons, taken a few nights ago at my youngest son's Presentation Ball:

Today I received these from son #1:

... and this, from my (ever-so-humble) son #2:

I hope your Mothers' Day has been special, and hope you, too, are feeling loved.

JAI #267: STAMPIN' UP! BABY CARD USING TYPOGRAPHY

This week at Just Add Ink, Di has set us the challenge to Just Add TypographyHere's what I found on Wikipedia:

"Typography is the art and technique of arranging type to make written language readable and appealing. The arrangement of type involves selecting typefaces, point size, line length, line-spacing (leading), letter-spacing (tracking), and adjusting the space within letters pairs (kerning)."

I decided upon using a collection of different fonts, to create the focal point of my card.  I used so many stamp sets to make this card!!  I have listed them all at the bottom of my post ... it does make me laugh that I told my husband that this card-making caper would save so much money (rather than buying cards)!  I just went through my stamp collection, and used a variety of stamps that were relevant for a baby card.

Be sure to check out the rest of the Just Add Ink Design Team creations; and we'd love to have you play along with us!

A STAMPIN' UP! BABY SHOWER CARD

On Saturday I had the pleasure of attending my niece's baby shower.  Not knowing what "colour" baby we are expecting to join the family, I thought Pistachio Pudding would be a good colour to use.   I handmade a matching envelope, and cute tag, that were attached to the gifts wrapped in brown paper - it all looked very sweet, if I may say so myself.  However, a brain fade meant that I didn't photograph the whole ensemble - just the card!  Here it is:

All of the Stampin' Up! products I used to make this card may be purchased from my online store; just click on the image(s) below.
