STAMPIN' UP! BEAUTIFUL BALLOONS FRESH FREESIA BIRTHDAY CARD

You may well know that I LOVE the Beautiful Balloons bundle from Stampin' Up!  I have used the fab It's In The Stars background stamp, on a piece of Bright & Beautiful Designer Series Paper, to complement the starry confetti pattern on the stamped balloons.

I used Smoky Slate ink to stamp It's In The Stars on the background paper,  then sponged the edges with Fresh Freesia ink.  This layer was matted on a piece of Basic Gray card.

On Basic White card, I stamped balloons in Smoky Slate, Fresh Freesia and Basic Gray inks.  The balloon strings were stamped in Smoky Slate.  I cut out this piece with a Scalloped Contours Die.

The bow on the largest balloon is white baker's twine, coloured with my Light Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends marker.

After adhering the scalloped rectangle to the background, I added a sentiment created with Wanted To Say Dies.

To add some sparkle to my card, I used Tinsel Gems Three Pack, and Adhesive-Backed Sparkle Gems.

STAMPIN' UP! BEAUTIFUL BALLOONS & WANTED TO SAY MASCULINE BIRTHDAY CARD

Beautiful Balloons is one of my favourite new bundles of products in Stampin' Up!'s Annual Catalogue.  Today's fun birthday card sees it paired it with the great Wanted To Say Dies.  Also, It's In The Stars (a large background stamp) makes its first appearance on my blog!

My background is a piece of Pool Party Designer Series Paper, from the Subtles 6"x6" collection.  Using Pool Party ink, I stamped It's In The Stars directly onto the patterned paper.  I just love this subtle bit of detail!  After sponging the edges of the DSP with Pool Party ink, I adhered the panel to a mat of Early Espresso card.

I stamped the balloon strings directly onto the DSP, using Pecan Pie ink.  The balloons were stamped in Pecan Pie, Pool Party, Early Espresso and Wild Wheat.  Isn't this a great colour combo, especially for a "guy" card?  The bow on the largest balloon is White Baker's Twine, coloured with the Dark Pecan Pie Stampin' Blends marker.

Wanted To Say Dies were used to cut the sentiment, from Pool Party and Basic White card.  A long die from the Beautiful Balloons Dies was used to cut a fringed strip from Pecan Pie card.

Here's another look at the background stamped on the DSP.    Neutrals Adhesive-Backed Sequins nicely complement the Pecan Pie elements.
