The third Basic Gray card I'm sharing this week has a slightly more formal "flavour". I have used a glorious patterned paper, from the Simply Elegant Specialty Designer Series Paper pack, along with one of the stunning Artistic Dies. The colour combination, of Basic Gray, Very Vanilla, and Gold, was inspired by the papers in this DSP collection.
The gorgeous Artistic Dies really stand on their own, needing very little to be added for them to have an impact. I die-cut the floral piece in Very Vanilla card, and adhered it directly to the busy patterned paper, before adding a few Gilded Gems:
The sentiment, from Vine Design, was stamped in Basic Gray ink on a strip of Very Vanilla card. I then used the co-ordinating sentiment label die, from the Vine Design bundle, to cut it out. To create a break between the floral die-cut and the sentiment, I added a couple of decorative horizontal strips. I embossed a strip of Very Vanilla card with a Greenery embossing folder, and die-cut a thin piece of Basic Gray card with a Basic Borders Die. A Gold Shimmer Ribbon bow was the finishing touch.
