COASTAL BERMUDA CHRISTMAS BAUBLE

I coloured my Stampin' Up! Christmas Bauble, using Coastal Cabana Blendabilities - but the end colour result matched much better with Bermuda Bay cardstock and paper .... hence my wildly uncreative blog post title today!

I'm loving the little star punch in the Itty Bitty Accents punch pack; it makes a great embellishment for Christmas cards, and 'boy' cards.  Here's my mostly Bermuda Bay and silver card, with a few Basic Black touches:

STAMPIN' UP! CHRISTMAS BAUBLE IN WISTERIA WONDER ... SHOWCASING THE WEEKLY DEALS

Have you noticed something new in the sidebar of my blog?  You can now see at a glance what the current Weekly Deals are from Stampin' Up!, and can order from my online store simply by clicking on any of the items you see - pretty cool, hey?

Every Wednesday, new Weekly Deals are released - a limited number of current products is on sale until the end of the following Tuesday.  This week you can grab some great bargains on items that I personally love!  I have made a card that features Wisteria Wonder cardstock, and the Hexagon Hive thinlits die - both on special this week.

I've been having a play with my Blendabilities (Stampin' Up!'s alcohol markers) and the Christmas Bauble stamp from the Holiday Catalogue.  I was inspired by these cards made by Emma Goddard; I do love me a bit of creative licence when it comes to colouring, and papercraft!

All of the Stampin' Up! products I used to make this card are shown below; by clicking on them, you'll be taken to my online store. (Regular prices appear below, but remember the Wisteria Wonder cardstock, and Hexagon Hive die, are on special this week.)  Be prepared to see several more Christmas Bauble cards from me in the coming weeks - I have coloured ten of these images, and intend to have lots of fun with them!

JAI #219 : SOMETHING FOR BABY

Our Just Add Ink challenge this week is provided by Trish, who came up with this fabulous inspiration pic for us to use as a starting-point for a card or other papercraft project:

I started off with the idea of making a bold, geometric-design, masculine card - but, as often happens, the image in my head just would not translate to paper!!  So, I ended up with something completely different to my original plan.  I was inspired by the stripes, and the bold yellow that I see as Crushed Curry.  Here's my take on the challenge, using a cute new stamp from the Something For Baby stamp set (out 1st July).  Check out the matching framelits and paper-piercing template around the duck -  such fun!

Card: Smoky Slate, Basic Gray, Whisper White, Crushed Curry

The rest of the Design Team members have come up with some AMAZING cards using this inspiration pic, so be sure to check them out, here.  Why not join in the fun, and link up your card, too?  We'd love to see your creation.
