When I posted that we'd be moving house, and there might be a little break between blog posts, I could not have anticipated that my hiatus would be quite so long!  A month down the track, we are still battling to have internet connected at our new property.  It is just unbelievable to me, in this day and age, that we can't get internet.  I've experienced feelings of agitation, withdrawal, frustration, and ultimately defeat  ... I've just had to accept that it is all beyond my control.  We're still working on finding a viable solution, so please don't give up on visiting my blog.  I hold out hope that soon all of this will be a distant memory.

I have not created anything for two months, and am missing my "sanity saving" outlet desperately.  It will be at least another month before my new craft room is properly fitted out - boy, this move has been an exercise in patience.

I am pleased to say that I have internet access for a week.  I'll be busy catching up on what's been going on, online!  We are away at our holiday house, and, although it's situated in the country, I had no problem having internet connected - go figure.

I have commandeered the dining room, and set up a temporary crafting space.  I'm hoping to get lots of "play time" this coming week; it's very hot, so I will happily stay indoors, in airconditioned comfort, crafting to my heart's content.  Here's everything set up, ready for me to start creating tomorrow:

I look forward to being able to share with you some of my creations soon.

HAPPY NEW YEAR, everyone - here's to a great 2016!

Our Just Add Ink challenge this week, courtesy of Tina, is to "Just Add Something Starting With C" to our papercraft project.

I have used corrugated card, Calypso Coral, and my Crazy About You stamp set, to make a bright and cheery "thinking of you" card.

Listed below are the Stampin' Up! products I used to make this card.  If you would like to buy them for yourself, just click on any of the thumbnail images, to be taken direct to my online store.
Make sure you check out the rest of the Just add Ink Design Team samples; you're sure to be inspired to play along with us!

You may have noticed that things have been a little quiet around here.  I am managing to keep up with my weekly Just Add Ink Design Team commitments, but have not been creating as much as I'd like to.

A while ago I shared pics of my craft room, in this blog post.

Well, after filling some 45 packing boxes, this is how my craft room looks today:

*Sniff* ... I'm feeling a bit sad, and at a loose end, having no access to my crafting supplies for a couple of weeks.  We are moving house next week.  I will have a lovely new craft room to set up, and look forward to sharing pics with you, when it's done.

Patrice has set our challenge at Just Add Ink this week ... our brief is to "Just Add Music" to a papercraft project.

I just love the Home For Christmas Designer Series Paper, in Stampin' Up!'s Holiday Catalogue.  I have included a piece of the music sheet paper on my card today, along with a couple of new items.  This is the first time I have cut (with success) the intricate overlay from the Delicate Ornaments thinlits collection.  It took a few tries, with varying thicknesses of shims, to get a good result .... this is where the Precision Base Plate comes into its own, I'm sure.  I don't (yet) have the base plate, so used a metal shim already in my craft stash, and got a beautiful clean cut.  So, if you're having a bit of trouble with this die, do persist - it's worth it!  The other "new to me" item I have used is the Antique Tags stamp set (able to be earnt for free, with a qualifying order of $250 or more).  Every stamp in this set co-ordinates with a punch or a die in Stampin' Up!'s range - awesome!

I have let the lovely Designer Series Paper take centre stage on this card; the only stamping is the sentiment.

Listed below are all the gorgeous Stampin' Up! products used to make this card.  You can go direct to my online store, to purchase them for yourself, if you click on any of the thumbnail images. (NB: Antique Tags may not be purchased, other than with Stampin' Rewards.)

Thanks for visiting my blog today.  Be sure to check out the rest of the "music" creations of the rest of the Just Add Ink Design Team.  We would love it if you played along in our challenge!
