STAMPIN' UP! FRESH AS A DAISY CARD FEATURING PRETTY PEACOCK

So many of Stampin' Up!'s products have Pretty Peacock in them, it was hard to choose what to create with for this week's Colour Creations blog hop!  Here is another Pretty Peacock card I made, this time featuring Fresh As A Daisy Designer Series Paper (the circles cut using Stylish Shapes Dies, and the Crushed Curry striped paper) and Earthen Elegance DSP (for the background).

I sponged the edges of the Pretty Peacock DSP using Pretty Peacock ink, and the Crushed Curry DSP with Crushed Curry ink, before layering them on a Basic White mat.

Using the Lasting Joy stamp set, and Pretty Peacock ink, I stamped the bottom half of the Earthen Elegance DSP with tiny flowers.  It's very subtle, as the paper already has a mottled design, but you can see this detail a bit better in the close-up photo below.

The sentiment, also from Lasting Joy, was stamped in Pretty Peacock ink on Basic White card, and cut out using a Countryside Corners Die.  I used Thoughtful Moments Dies (part of a bundle with a hybrid embossing folder) to cut the teensy Copper Clay heart from a scrap of the Fresh As A Daisy paper.  The tiny Basic White flowers were also cut using a Thoughtful Moments Die.  I used Adhesive Sheet on the back of the paper and card before cutting, so the little elements were easy to add to my card. The flower centres are Lemon Lolly Adhesive-Backed Solid Gems that have been coloured with a Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends marker.

I wanted a fairly narrow ribbon for my bow, so coloured a length of Lost Lagoon Bordered Ribbon with my Light Pretty Peacock Stampin' Blends marker.

My card base is Pretty Peacock (too dark to write on, unless using a white gel pen, perhaps), so I added a Basic White insert that is decorated with a strip of the Fresh As A Daisy DSP used on the card front.

STAMPIN' UP! PERENNIAL LAVENDER BIRTHDAY CARD FEATURING PRETTY PEACOCK

The colour we're featuring this week, in our alphabetical-ordered tour through Stampin' Up!'s colour range, is Pretty Peacock.  This beautiful rich green features in the gorgeous Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper, which forms the focus of my card.

I have used three of the patterned papers from the Perennial Lavender DSP pack.  I sponged the edges of all three pieces with Crumb Cake ink, before assembling the card.

The leafy paper (how beautiful?!) was matted on a layer of Pretty Peacock card.  I then added the Pretty Peacock paper, and floral paper.

Using Stampin' Blends markers in Highland Heather and Pretty Peacock, I coloured two Paper Butterfly Accents.  My photography doesn't show it, but the butterflies have a shimmer, thanks to Wink of Stella brushed over the top of the colours.  I added Pretty Peacock Foiled Gems (three on one butterfly, two on the other) to their bodies.

Before adhering all the layers to the Crumb Cake card base, I used a Notes of Nature Die to add some interest to the top of the leafy panel.

Pretty Peacock & Gold Metallic Ribbon was wrapped around the middle of the card front, and a bow added.

I stamped the sentiment, from Hooray For Surprises, in Crumb Cake ink on Basic White card, and cut it out using a Something Fancy Die.  A couple of larger Pretty Peacock Foiled Gems adorn the sentiment label.

Inside the card, I added a Basic White card layer, with a strip of the leafy DSP cut with the same Notes of Nature Die used on the card front.

STAMPIN' UP! FLORAL THINKING OF YOU CARD, FEATURING POPPY PARADE

Poppy Parade is a colour I don't often use, but I really enjoyed creating with it for this week's Colour Creations blog hop.  After looking through the Sunny Days Designer Series Pack (FREE with a $90+ Stampin' Up! order, before the end of February), and choosing the poppy paper I used the other night, I decided I just HAD to make something with another of the gorgeous florals in this pack.  I really love the  combination of Poppy Parade, Pool Party, black and white.

For such a simple card, I've thrown quite a few products at this one!  I love to add detail with die-cuts, texture, ribbon and embellishments ... and this card was spared none of those, LOL.

I matted the beautiful DSP on a Poppy Parade card layer.  I then cut a Basic White Deckled Circle, and a slightly larger Basic Black Deckled Circle.  The gorgeous embossed flower detail on the Basic White Circle is courtesy of a new Fun Patterns Embossing Folder, that I got my hands on early, ahead of its release (as an Online Exclusive) on 5th March.

The Basic Black stems added to the Deckled Circles were cut using a Meadow Die.  I used Around the Bend Dies to cut the three happy Poppy Parade flowers (and their white centres).

To complement the Petal Pink flowers in the background paper, I used Petal Pink Ribbon for my bow.

The sweet little Adhesive-Backed Flowers are from the January - April Mini Catalogue.

Another Online Exclusive product coming out in March is the Simply Zinnia stamp set (part of a really beautiful suite of products, including dies, papers and embellishments).  I used this set to stamp the sentiment in Versamark ink on a strip of Poppy Parade card.  After sprinkling white embossing powder over the ink, I melted it with my heat tool.  The little white Adhesive-Backed Flower conceals an inky mark I somehow managed to get on the sentiment strip!

The sentiment is raised up on Stampin' Dimensionals.

Listed below are all the current Stampin' Up! products I used to make this card.  I can't yet link to the Online Exclusives that will be released on 5th March, but I promise you the wait to see them all will be worth it!
