STAMPIN' UP! ROCK & ROLL BIRTHDAY CARD FEATURING PARAKEET PARTY

 Since I was creating with Parakeet Party for this week's Colour Creations blog hop last night, I decided to make another card, as I seldom use this lovely bright colour.

I teamed Parakeet Party with Pool Party and Lost Lagoon, colouring in guitars on a piece of Rock & Roll Designer Series Paper.  Stampin' Blends markers were used to colour the images.

After colouring the images on this piece of DSP, I matted it on a slightly larger piece of Parakeet Party card, and embossed the panels with the Merry Melody 3D embossing folder.

The sentiment, from Biggest Wish, was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a strip of Parakeet Party card.  I sponged the edges with Parakeet Party ink, before adhering this piece to the card front.  The new Adhesive-Backed Lightning & Stars are pretty cool embellishments!

My card base is Basic Black, so I stuck a Basic White panel inside, to make writing a message a whole lot easier.  I added a strip of another paper design from the Rock & Roll DSP pack, to tie in with the  black and white theme.
