HEART OF CHRISTMAS WEEK 18: STAMPIN' UP! BRIGHTEST GLOW DOTTY GARLAND CHRISTMAS CARD

I've been creating with the beautiful tree from Stampin' Up!'s Twinkling Lights Dies, so expect to see several cards featuring the tree(s) in upcoming blog posts!  I love that the die cuts out the tree, garland details, and embosses the die-cut piece with extra dots and stars.

The card I'm sharing tonight features an Evening Evergreen tree, with Distressed Gold paper and one of the patterns of Lights Aglow paper that I haven't used much to date.  This paper evokes thoughts of dangling garlands or beads, don't you think?

After cutting a piece of Distressed Gold paper to the width of the patterned paper panel, I used a Basic Borders Die to give it a rounded and "stitched" bottom edge.  I then used another of the Twinkling Lights Dies, to add two rows of "garlands", to complement the cut-out details on the tree, and the dotty pattern in the paper.

In this photo, you can better see the tree detail, and the shimmer of the gold dots on the paper behind the tree.

I stamped the sentiment in Cherry Cobbler ink on Very Vanilla card, and cut it out using an All That Die.

Champagne rhinestones on the tree, and some Gold Shimmer Ribbon, finish off my card.

STAMPIN' UP! HAPPINESS ABOUNDS BIRTHDAY CARDS

Today I am sharing a couple of birthday cards featuring the beautiful Happiness Abounds bundle, and Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper.  The only stamping on my cards is the sentiments.  The flowers and leaves were die-cut from the patterned paper.

My first card is almost all pink, with gold accents.

In this photo, you can see the beautiful die-cut detail in the top half of the pink watercolour-look paper.  I backed it onto some Basic White card, to give a bit of contrast between the paper and the Melon Mambo mat.

The little gold leaves I've added to my arrangement were leftover "bits" on my craft table.  They were cut from Gold Metallic Paper, using Splendid Stems Dies, and trimmed with paper snips.  Gold Metallic Pearls were my embellishment of choice.

Here's a better view of the lovely gold-embossed sentiment, on a piece of Basic White card cropped with a Labels Aglow Die:

My second card is mainly pink and yellow - such a pretty combination, don't you think?  The colours, and details that look like texture, in the Hues of Happiness DSP, are just gorgeous.

To my Thick Basic White card base, I added a Thick Basic White layer embossed with the Pretty Flowers Embossing Folder.  I matted the DSP to a layer of Daffodil Delight card, then die-cut the leafy lattice detail, so the white background showed through.

For this card, I stamped the sentiment in Flirty Flamingo ink on Basic White card, and cut it out using a Stylish Shapes Die.  Pastel Pearls, and a White Crinkled Seam Binding bow, finish off the card.
