HEART OF CHRISTMAS WEEK 17: STAMPIN' UP! CHRISTMAS LIGHTS CARD IN CHERRY COBBLER

For tonight's Heart of Christmas blog hop, I've created a card using beautiful Cherry Cobbler and gold papers from Stampin' Up!'s Lights Aglow Designer Series Paper pack, and the Christmas Lights bundle.

The gold embossing of the tree and sentiment don't show up very well in this photo, but the close-up photos down below give a clearer picture.

The "garland" paper is just so beautifully festive, isn't it?  I matted my background paper on a panel of Cherry Cobbler card, and added a wide strip of Distressed Gold Specialty Paper.  Using a Scalloped Contours Die, I cut a piece of the bokeh-patterned Cherry Cobbler paper to show off the lovely gold-embossed Christmas tree.

I stamped the tree in Versamark ink on Very Vanilla card, and heat-embossed it using gold embossing powder.  After cutting out the tree with the co-ordinating die, I topped it with a star cut from Distressed Gold Specialty Paper.  I used my Dark Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Blends marker to colour some Iridiscent Rhinestones, to adorn the tree.

In this photo, you can more clearly see the sentiment, which I stamped in Versamark ink on Cherry Cobbler card, and gold heat-embossed.  I used a Stylish Shapes die to cut out the sentiment banner.

  7. A gorgeous card, Christine. I adore these papers and I love how you've used them in the background behind your glitzy tree with Cobbler Rhinestones. The Gold strip is great behind the sentiment too!
