STAMPIN' UP! ADORABLE OWLS BIRTHDAY CARD - FRESH FREESIA

Today I will be sharing on my blog the last two of my Adorable Owls card series.  The first one is a birthday card in Fresh Freesia and Smoky Slate.  The background is some Fresh Freesia Dandy Designs Designer Series Paper, that I have customised.  I used Fresh Freesia ink to repeatedly stamp "It's your day" (from Adorable Owls), and Smoky Slate ink to stamp hearts (from Celebrate With Tags).  After sponging the edges with Fresh Freesia ink, I layered the paper onto a Fresh Freesia card panel.

The birthday owl was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Basic White card, then cut out using a Deckled Rectangles Die.  I coloured the owl with Stampin' Blends in Smoky Slate, Granny Apple Green, Fresh Freesia and Petal Pink.  His beak and feet were coloured with the Mango Melody Stampin' Write Marker.

The matting layers for the focal piece are a rectangle of Dandy Designs DSP (sponged around the edges, with Fresh Freesia ink), and a Smoky Slate Deckled Rectangle that has been embossed with another of the great Basics 3D embossing folders just released as an Online Exclusive.  I sponged around this piece with Smoky Slate ink.

After laying a piece of Fresh Freesia Open Weave Ribbon across the card front layers, I added a bow made with two ribbons - Fresh Freesia Open Weave Ribbon, and White Crinkled Seam Binding.

Iridescent Rhinestones were added to the party hat, and scattered around the card front.

The sentiment, from Artistically Inked, was stamped in Basic Gray ink on a piece of Basic White card.  I cropped it with a Deckled Rectangles Die, running the cropped piece back through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine, moving the die a little to make the sentiment piece even smaller.

I stamped hearts in Fresh Freesia ink, and sponged the edges of this piece with Smoky Slate ink.
