This week's Colour Creations blog hop is all about Daffodil Delight. It's not a colour I use a lot in my crafting, but I have used it to make a card for my yellow-loving friend and her husband, who have been an integral part of my life for over 40 years. We went to high school together, and they have recently celebrated a milestone wedding anniversary.
The lovely paper in the background is from the Design A Daydream DSP pack. I cut "Sending" from Crumb Cake card, using a Sending Die. The other part of the sentiment, from Hand Penned Petals, was white heat-embossed on Daffodil Delight card, and cut out using a Hydrangea Die.
Next up on tonight's blog hop is Catherine Proctor. If you click on the button below, you'll be taken to her blog:

That is a very funky, retro looking card Christine. Congratulations on concurring your lack of fondness for this beautiful yellow! :)
ReplyDeleteOh this is a such a wonderful colour combination, Christine – Crumb Cake and Daffodil Delight look fantastic together! What a perfect card for a yellow-loving friend – I'm sure she loved it!
ReplyDeleteA lovely card Christine that I am sure will be loved by your special friends. Your colouring of the floral arrangement is delightful together with the die cut addition of the flowers from the same DSP as the background. Gorgeous layering. Xxx
ReplyDeleteA delightful card Christine and great use of the lovely DSP. I love the embossed Crumb Cake flowers on your card.
ReplyDeleteI never would have thought to pair Daffodil Delight with Crumb Cake, but I love the combo! I also love the mix of DSP that you've used. Fab card!
ReplyDeleteI am sure that your yellow loving friends will love receiving this card. I would never have thought that Daffodil Delight would have gone so well with Crumb Cake. I really love all the different elements you have created in the Hand Penned spray. What a great idea to use that sentiment with the "Sending"die cut as well.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful use of those patterned papers, Christine. I know Crumb Cake goes with everything, but it really does go super well with Daffodil Delight. I love how you stamped and embossed the image on Crumb Cake and coloured the flowers. It really is a special card for your long standing friend!
