HEART OF CHRISTMAS WEEK 6: STAMPIN' UP! BOUGHS OF HOLLY CARD

Every Monday night a group of us, all Stampin' Up! demonstrators in Australia, share Christmas projects using Stampin' Up! products.  We'll be blog hopping every Monday night until late November, to give you plenty of inspiration!

The star of my card this week is the beautiful Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper.  I've used a couple of designs from this pack, but mostly a gorgeous rustic-looking sheet with a Sahara Sand background.  As well as using a panel of this paper in the background, I've added fussy-cut foliage and berries to add a little dimension.

Using Sahara Sand ink, I stamped on Sahara Sand card a tree ring from Ringed With Nature.  I cut it out using a corresponding die, and sponged the edges with Sahara Sand ink.  I stamped the sentiment, from Christmas to Remember, in Evening Evergreen ink.

I added a bow made from Soft Succulent Open Weave Ribbon, and dotted some In Color Opal Rounds on my card.

These photos give a closer look at the fussy-cut pieces I adhered beneath the sentiment tree ring:

  4. This is a really lovely rustic Christmas card, Christine. I love that the Ringed with Nature tree round with sentiment ties in so well with this DSP. I also love how you fussy cut some on the images and added them behind the sentiment. Beautiful work!

  7. Stunning use of this lovely paper Christine. I love the addition of the tree ring as the sentiment panel and your fussy cutting is perfect. I dips my lid to you. I HATE fussy cutting and greatly admire those that can.
