HEART OF CHRISTMAS WEEK 8: SHADED SPRUCE SANTA EXPRESS TREE CARD

Tonight a group of us, all Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around Australia, is sharing Christmas projects made with Stampin' Up! products.  We'll be doing this every Monday night until late November, to provide you with lots of inspiration for your own Christmas crafting.

I like the combination of greens in the tree-patterned paper in the Santa Express Designer Series Paper pack.  My card, therefore, features Mint Macaron and Shaded Spruce.

I cut a piece of the tree paper to fit behind a Fabulous Frame in Basic White.  I then matted these two layers onto a slightly larger Shaded Spruce piece of card, adding a Mint Macaron border (die cut using a Blossoming Happiness die) at the bottom.  I like the crispness of the white frame, and the Thick Basic White card base.

This closer shot shows the lovely texture provided by dies, and dies with dry-embossed detail (on the frame and the sentiment oval):

Using my Dark Shaded Spruce Stampin' Blends marker, I coloured some Gold Satin-Edged Ribbon to create the bow.  A few gold pearls complement the gold thread in the ribbon.  The sentiment, from the Brightest Glow stamp set, was stamped in Shaded Spruce ink on Mint Macaron card, and cut out using an All That Die.

  1. Christine, I love your choice of background paper that compliments the die cut trees so well. Gorgeous hand coloured ribbon too. The gold accents are so pretty and look lovely with the different shades of green.
