HEART OF CHRISTMAS WEEK 5: STAMPIN' UP! CHARMING LANDSCAPES

For tonight's Heart of Christmas blog hop, I'm sharing a couple of simple cards that show off one of the gorgeous Charming Landscapes embossing folders.

This design lends itself well to mass-production, if that's your thing.  I tend to get a bit bored if I make more than two of the same design!

My first card is Very Vanilla and gold.  I found it hard to photograph these cards, but I trust you can see the details clearly enough.

The embossing folder creates the most delightful scene:

Brushed Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots, and Gold Satin Edged Ribbon, were my embellishments of choice.  The sentiment, gold-embossed on Very Vanilla card, is from the Christmas to Remember stamp set.  I cut it out using Seasonal Labels Dies.

Using the same embossing folder, I created a card in Basic White and gold, differing slightly from the first design in that I didn't mat the main panel on a second layer:

The gold-embossed sentiment on this card is also from Christmas to Remember.  I used Harvest Dies to cut it out, and added a thin strip of Gold Metallic Paper underneath.

In addition to Gold Shimmer Ribbon, I used Gold Festive Pearls to embellish the simple design.

Next up on tonight's blog hop is Catherine Proctor.  If you click on the button below, you'll be taken to her blog:

On what a wonderful neutral card, Christine! That bow is beautiful and I love the way you’ve shown so much of that embossing folder too.

  6. Oh Christine my very favourite sort of Christmas card......so simple and so very elegant. You, the queen of layers and texture, made me laugh when you talked about mass production of cards. Your cards are always made with such care.

  7. A very elegant and simplistic design, Christine. This would be great as the year gets away from us and we are short on time before Christmas! Vanilla and Gold work beautifully together, love them!
