Last week I shared a card featuring Crushed Curry, for the weekly Colour Creations blog hop I take part in. You can find that card here. While I had out my supplies, I made a second card, with more diluted watercolouring. This one makes me like Crushed Curry more!
I used the beautiful Painted Posies 3D embossing folder, to emboss a pattern on a panel of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper (cut with a Deckled Rectangles Die).
I squeezed the lids of my closed inkpads, to pool ink on the inside lid. Using these palettes, and a Water Painter, I coloured the embossed panel. The flowers are Crushed Curry and Highland Heather, and the foliage Old Olive. I added a wash of Pool Party ink in the background once the main images were dry.
Because the diluted Highland Heather ink was so pale, I used Fresh Freesia paper and ribbon to complement my design. It's a pretty good match, don't you think? The larger Deckled Rectangle was cut from Tea Boutique Designer Series Paper, and layered over a piece of Crushed Curry DSP from the Regals 6"x6" assortment.
The sentiment, from Go To Greetings, was white heat-embossed on a strip of Crushed Curry card. I cut it out using a Sending Die, and cropped the end with paper snips.
Some In Color Opal Rounds were added for a bit of soft sparkle.
