This week's Colour Creations blog hop is all about Crumb Cake, my favourite and most-used neutral in Stampin' Up!'s range.
I've added pops of Balmy Blue, and a little Soft Suede, to my card, but Crumb Cake features heavily in my design. I made a card to congratulate some dear friends on the arrival of their grandson, Harrison.
The background was created using the Alphabest bundle. I lined up four stamps on an acrylic block (H), and used Crumb Cake and Soft Suede inks to repeatedly stamp the images diagonally across a Crumb Cake card panel. I mounted this piece on a slightly larger Crumb Cake piece that I'd sponged around the edges using Crumb Cake ink.
The sentiment, from Happier Than Happy, was stamped in Soft Suede ink on Crumb Cake card. After cutting it out with an All That Die, I sponged the edges with Crumb Cake ink. I used Linen Thread, and tiny punched stars in Balmy Blue, to embellish my card. I applied Adhesive Sheet to the back of a scrap piece of Balmy Blue card, before punching out several of the smallest stars using the Starlit Punch. This made it easy to then add the stars to my card without any glue mess.
Using the Alphabest bundle, I stamped (in Crumb Cake ink on Basic White card) and punched out "baby h". I used a Blending Brush and Crumb Cake ink to soften the white.
The sweet waving bear, from Happier Than Happy, was stamped in Balmy Blue ink on Basic White card, and cut out using the matching die.
