This week's Colour Creations blog hop is all about Mint Macaron, a beautiful soft green in Stampin' Up!'s colour range.
Mint Macaron features in the gorgeous Hand Penned Designer Series Paper. I've used two designs from the pack on my card tonight.
The vertical-striped panel has been cut along the bottom edge with a Scalloped Contours Die. I die-cut a floral spray from Snowy White Velvet paper, using a Penned Flowers Die. After colouring the leaves with the Light Mint Macaron Stampin' Blends marker, I snipped the die cut in two, so some shows above and some below the sentiment strip.
The sentiment, from the Inspired Thoughts stamp set, is stamped in Mint Macaron ink on Basic White card. I coloured some Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding with my Light Mint Macaron Stampin' Blends marker, to create my bow. Additional Snowy White Velvet paper flowers, and Subtle Shimmer Sequins, were added to the card front.
To the inside of my card, I added a Basic White panel, decorated at the top. I used a strip of the same DSP as on my card front, with a sweet scalloped border cut from Basic White card, using the border die from the Penned Flowers Die collection.
Next up on tonight's blog hop is Diane Furniss. If you click on the button below, you will be taken to her blog.

Such a soft and lovely card Christine with a beautiful sentiment for the occasion. I love how that velvet paper has been coloured with Stampin’ Blends.
ReplyDeleteOh how good does that velvet paper look when coloured with blends! Love all the layers and details on this soft and elegant card, especially your Mint Macaron bow. Thank you so much for running the hop tonight, Christine.
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty and feminine, Christine. The velvet paper looks amazing coloured and a great tip to cut the die cut piece in half to see more of it behind your sentiment. The shimmer sequins are a beautiful addition too!
ReplyDeleteSo soft and pretty, Christine. Lots of lovely details.
