STAMPIN' UP! TRUCKING ALONG BIRTHDAY CARD WITH METAL PLATE EMBOSSING

I have just had my first play with the new Online Exclusive Trucking Along bundle, and I love it!

Check out how cute it is:

I stamped the truck in Basic Gray ink on Basic White card, and stamped the presents in the tray of the truck.  Using Stampin' Blends markers in Smoky Slate, Basic Black, Lost Lagoon and Copper Clay, I coloured the presents - but left the truck uncoloured, as I just used it as a guide for placement of the punched out truck.  I'd stamped and punched out a second truck, that I coloured with Stampin' Blends.  The body of this second truck was coloured using Lost Lagoon and Copper Clay Stampin' Blends, with the Color Lifter to give a weathered look.

Before adhering the punched-out truck, I stamped a road surface using Basic Gray ink.  Some colour was added with the Dark Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends marker.  I used a Nested Essentials Die to cut out this focal piece, and stamped some clouds using Pool Party ink, stamped off onto scrap paper after each inking, so the colour was soft on my card.

The sentiment, from Biggest Wish, was stamped in Lost Lagoon and Copper Clay inks on Basic White card.  I used a Stitched Rectangles Die to crop the sentiment, and added some Brushed Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots.  A couple more dots were the perfect addition to the wheels of the truck.

I used two different background papers on my card.  I sponged Copper Clay ink around the edges of the Fresh As A Daisy piece, and Lost Lagoon ink around the edges of the Inked Botanicals panel, before sticking it onto the copper piece.  I embossed the papers with the Metal Plate 3D embossing folder, then matted them on a piece of Copper Clay card.

Before affixing the layers to the Thick Basic White card base, I wrapped Copper Clay Textured Ribbon around the front.  I knotted some Lost Lagoon Bordered Ribbon around the Copper Clay ribbon, and used glue dots to keep the ribbons in place.
