STAMPIN' UP! FRIENDSHIP CARD FOR PP508

Here's this week's challenge at The Paper Players:

The challenge colours are all found in Stampin' Up!'s Magic In This Night Designer Series Paper, so, despite my initial efforts of trying to create without it, that's what I defaulted to!  I know in the US particularly, these colours are popular for Fall/Autumn creations, or perhaps even for Halloween.  In Australia we don't send cards or give gifts for changes of seasons, so Autumn is really not a "thing", other than for us to admire the beauty in nature.  Halloween also is not a widely celebrated/noted occasion.

I have gone for a somewhat dark, moody, look, on my friendship card for this challenge.  I have used (now retired) Black Foil Sheets in conjunction with the beautiful papers.  I didn't consciously use glitter and foil on my card, but as it turns out, I embossed the sentiment with (retired) Shimmer Black embossing powder, and added a Glittered Organdy Ribbon bow (as it is my only black ribbon).

The "accidental" glittery elements:

... and a closer look at the Black Foil elements:

Listed below are the current Stampin' Up! products I used to make this card.  If you live in Australia, and would like to shop with me for your papercraft supplies, you can get to my store by clicking on any of the thumbnail images below.

Thanks, Anne Marie, for stretching me outside my "colour comfort zone", with this challenge!  It was fun.
