Tonight I am taking part, with a number of other members of the Art With Heart Stampin' Up! team, in a Heart of Christmas share. Judy May co-ordinates this showcase; once a month we share Christmas projects, to help inspire you to use Stampin' Up! products in your Christmas crafting. Judy has a comprehensive list on her blog of all the participants in this month's share. We would love for you to visit all our blogs, and leave us some comment love if you feel so inclined.
My card was designed with a (slightly dark) moody tone. I have used Merry Merlot and gold, including only a piece of Very Vanilla card on which to write inside the card. In real life, I think this card looks quite elegant, but I did have trouble capturing that in photographs.
I've used the Tin Tile 3D embossing folder on the main Merry Merlot panel. The Wreath Builder Dies were used to cut one wreath from Gold Foil Sheets, and another from Merry Merlot card. I gold-embossed the sentiment on a piece of Merry Merlot card, cropped with a Stitched Shapes circle die, and placed beneath the wreaths. The holly is also gold-embossed on Merry Merlot card. I coloured the berries with my Merry Merlot Stampin' Write Marker for a bit of tone variation. After fussy-cutting the holly leaves and berries, I adhered them with Stampin' Dimensionals at the top of the wreaths. Some Gilded Gems add a bit more gold glam to my card.
The shine of the embossing and foil show up better in this photo:
Inside the card, I added some more holly, embossed and coloured the same way as that on the front of the card:
