The new Gilded Autumn Specialty Designer Series Papers, in the current Mini Catalogue, are just beautiful. I'm always drawn to neutral, earthy tones, and especially papers that will work well on masculine cards. Here's the result of my first play with these papers:
I had on my desk a piece of In Good Taste woodgrain paper, that I'd dry-embossed with the Pinewood Planks 3D embossing folder. The paper is mounted on some Early Espresso card, and the edges sponged with Early Espresso ink. Over this paper I laid two horizontal strips of paper from the Gilded Autumn pack. Aren't the colours and patterns fabulous? I've teamed them with the Geared Up Garage stamp set, and co-ordinating Garage Gears dies. The car is stamped in Early Espresso ink, on Thick Very Vanilla card. I used Cajun Craze and Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends markers to colour the car, before die-cutting it. Using Early Espresso ink, I stamped the "oil" splatter stamp a couple of times on the chevron-patterned paper. The thin copper ribbon is from the Basket Weave & Metallic Ribbon Combo, that is part of the autumn suite of products from the Mini Catalogue.
In this photo, you can better see some of the details:
Using the Many Mates stamp set, I created a sentiment for the inside of the card. I stamped the "Happy Birthday" a couple of times each in Crumb Cake and Mint Macaron ink, on Very Vanilla card. I then stamped it again in Early Espresso ink, on a smaller piece of card, and used Stitched Rectangles Dies to cut out both. After adhering the Early Espresso sentiment over the top of my custom background, I matted the rectangles on a piece of Cajun Craze card.
Listed below are all the products I used to make this card. They are available to purchase from my online store, which can be accessed by clicking on any of the thumbnail images below. If you live in Australia, I would love for you to shop with me for your craft supplies.
Tomorrow I'll be sharing another card made with these beautiful papers ... this time, a more feminine design.
