STAMPIN' UP! TEXTURED ESSENTIALS MASCULINE BIRTHDAY CARD

Each week when I take part in my team's Colour Creations Showcase, on a Wednesday night, I like to make a second card using the colour of the week.  Last night I shared a feminine card featuring Gray Granite.  Today I have a masculine card, using this colour combination:

I have always enjoyed making masculine cards, and using "grungy" background or collage stamps on them.  The Textured Essentials stamp set has been sitting unloved on my shelf for a while, so I decided to ink it up.  Using Gray Granite ink, I first stamped what I see as the "mosaic tile" image randomly over a Whisper White panel.  I then used the same stamp, with Just Jade ink, and then Bermuda Bay ink, to fill some spaces.  Over the top of all the stamped images, I stamped in Gray Granite another of the abstract images that looks a bit like netting.

Once I was satisfied with the background I had created, I sponged the edges of the piece in Gray Granite ink, and matted it on  Bermuda Bay, Just Jade and Gray Granite card ... all then adhered to a Thick Whisper White card base.

Using some of the open-design stars from the Stitched Stars Dies, I cut stars from Gray Granite and Just Jade card:

The great sentiment, from the Happiest of Birthdays stamp set, was stamped in Gray Granite ink on Whisper White card, which I cropped with a Stitched Rectangles Die.  I matted this piece on some Gray Granite card, then sponged Gray Granite ink around the edges of the mat.  A couple of Just Jade enamel dots finish the card (and hide a tiny ink smudge!):

Listed below are all the products I used to make this card.  They are available to purchase from my online store, if you live in Australia.  If you'd like to shop with me for your Stampin' Up! supplies, getting to my online store is as easy as clicking on one of the thumbnail images below.
