STAMPIN' UP! GRANNY APPLE GREEN BIRTHDAY CARD

When I was deciding what to make for last night's Colour Creations Showcase, I had settled on using my favourite sheet of paper from the Artistry Blooms Designer Series Paper pack.  I spent a couple of hours working on this card before changing my mind, so decided to share it with you today instead!

The brushstroke-patterned paper features Granny Apple Green, Night of Navy and Coastal Cabana.  Such a great colour combination, and a favourite of mine for "guy" cards.  This card has been hit with lots of festive birthday elements - balloons, stars, bunting, and some glimmer.

The word "HAPPY" was cut out with my Playful Alphabet Dies, using a different piece of Granny Apple Green paper from the Artistry Blooms pack.  I stamped "BIRTHDAY" in Night of Navy ink, using a stamp from Family Party, and cropped that with a Tasteful Labels Die.  The bunting below the sentiment, and the bunting on which the balloons sit, was cut with Stitched Triangles Dies (as was the border at the bottom of the card).  The finer bunting draped across the top of the card is from the So Much Happy bundle, as are the balloons and stars.

Here's a closer view, especially of the stars cut from Rainbow Glimmer Paper.  After stamping the balloons in Granny Apple Green ink, I added some Night of Navy dots to a couple of them, using my Dark Night of Navy Stampin' Blends marker.

I had a lot of fun putting this card together; I hope it brings a smile to your face!
