AWHT COLOUR CREATIONS SHOWCASE - WEEK 22: JUST JADE

This week I am joining with some of my Stampin' Up! friends, in showcasing Just Jade, one of our beautiful In Colors that will be in Stampin' Up!'s range until 2022.  Cathy Proctor co-ordinates our weekly shares, and has a comprehensive list on her blog of everyone participating.   We hope you will hop around all our blogs, to see how we have used this lovely colour on our papercraft projects.

Just Jade, along with the other four In Colors introduced this year, features in the Flowers For Every Season Designer Series Paper pack. I have chosen a happy floral paper as my main focus.  As well as using a panel in the background (teamed with In Good Taste Designer Series Paper, that is on special until the end of October), I cut a stitched scalloped rectangle of the patterned paper, using the Stitched So Sweetly dies.  I matted this piece on a slightly larger Whisper White die-cut scalloped rectangle, and mounted my stamped sentiment on the flowery panel.

I stamped "hello", from the Borders Abound stamp set, on a scrap of Whisper White card, then die-cut it using a sweet Ornate Frames die.

Using the Medium Daisy punch, I punched out two flowers from Whisper White card.  I have stamped, in Bumblebee ink, the flower centre from To A Wild Rose.  After stamping it, I decided it looked a little star, so I lightly applied some Bumblebee ink using a sponge dauber.  After gluing the two flower layers together,  I adhered a Playing With Patterns Resin Dot to the top flower centre.  Stampin' Dimensionals raise the daisies up from the frame a little.

Listed below are all the products I used to make my card.  They are available to purchase from my online store, which is open to Australian shoppers 24/7.  If you would like to shop with me for your Stampin' Up! supplies, you can get to my store by clicking on any of the thumbnail images below.

Make sure you go to Cathy's blog, to see the list of everyone taking part in this week's Colour Creations Showcase.  We are really enjoying working our way through Stampin' Up!'s colour range, in alphabetical order, and hope we are inspiring you to stretch yourself out of your "colour comfort zone"!

  6. Who would've thought to use those 2 papers together but you have done it beautifully by adding that gorgeous gingham ribbon. Such a great idea for the daisy centre too!
