Wednesday night means it's Colour Creations Showcase night, as a group of us work our way through Stampin' Up!'s colours, in alphabetical order. This week we are creating with Granny Apple Green, a colour that I love - it makes me happy! I look forward to seeing what my friends have made with it. Our share tonight is co-ordinated by Cathy Proctor. She has a comprehensive list on her blog of all participants. We would love for you to hop around our blogs, and leave some comment love, if you feel inspired!
I wanted Granny Apple Green to be the star of the show on my card, so have teamed it with black and white, to help it stand out. I've cut some foliage, using Forever Flourishing Dies, and Stitched Leaves Dies, mostly from Granny Apple Green card, but with a few white die cuts too. I lightly splattered Granny Apple Green ink over the leaves, using the brush tip of my Dark Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends marker, flicked against the inside of the lid. I used this same splattering technique on my background. After embossing a Thick Whisper White card panel with a Greenery Embossing Folder, I flicked Granny Apple Green and Basic Black ink, using my Stampin' Blends markers.
Listed below are all the products I used to make my card. They are available to purchase from my online store, if you live in Australia. If you would like to shop with me for your Stampin' Up! supplies, you can get to my store by clicking on any of the thumbnail images below.

ReplyDeleteSuch a bold and bright card, Christine and the black really does make the green pop.
ReplyDeleteI love the striking colour combo Christine. The use of black behind the Granny Apple Green with a touch of Whisper White was a great choice, as was the choice of embossing folder. I love the overall splattered ink effect too.
ReplyDeleteOoh love the multi-coloured ink splattering over the background and the leaves, how wonderful!
ReplyDeleteGranny Apple Green definitely shines brightly on your lovely card Christine. Love the texture and the splatters and agree that black and white are the perfect contrast to the bright and cheery GAG.
ReplyDeleteLovely card, Christine - really shows off the Granny Apple Green to its best!
ReplyDeleteYou're right Christine, it is a very happy colour - and especially in an eye-popping combination with black and white. Great card, great use of textures, layers and diecuts.
