I really enjoyed playing with the Positive Thoughts stamp set as I did on yesterday's card, inking up the images and spritzing with water before stamping onto watercolor paper. I have created a card in different colours for today - this time, the fern fronds are in Mint Macaron ink, and the flowers in Highland Heather and Balmy Blue inks. I applied ink directly to the stamps with inkpads, then spritzed the stamps with water before making the impressions on Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. When the inks were dry, I used Stampin' Blends markers (in the dark tone of the ink colours), to add subtle splatters to the flowers and foliage, before die-cutting the images.

STAMPIN' UP! IN GOOD TASTE POSITIVE THOUGHTS CARD
Tomorrow the month-long sale on several of Stampin' Up!'s paper packs will end. One of the fabulous packs on offer is the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper. If you don't already own it, don't miss the chance to purchase it at 15% off!
I have used a woodgrain-patterned piece, and a pink "carpet"-looking piece, on today's card. The pink in this pack is supposedly Rococo Rose, but I find this paper is much closer in colour to Blushing Bride, so that is the pink of my choice. Using my Positive Thoughts stamp set, I inked up the larger flower in Blushing Bride ink, spritzed the stamp with water, then stamped it on Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. I did this three times, getting a slightly different look each time. When the ink was dry, I flicked the brush end of my Dark Rococo Rose Stampin' Blends marker against the inside of the marker lid, to create splatters over the stamped flowers. I used the same process for the fern fronds, inking them in Crumb Cake ink, then spritzing with water before stamping onto Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. I added splatters to those pieces with my Dark Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends marker.
