STAMPIN' UP! HAND-DRAWN BLOOMS BRIGHT BIRTHDAY CARD

The card I'm sharing today was inspired by a sample on p. 175 of the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue.  It's a sweet, simple design, and a bit different to anything I would have thought of making with the Hand-Drawn Blooms bundle.

I stamped my flowers in Gorgeous Grape, Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight inks, on Whisper White card.  Using blender pens, I picked up ink from the same coloured inkpads and messily coloured the flowers before die-cutting them.

Across the main Whisper White panel, I repeatedly stamped part of the large bouquet stamp in Crumb Cake ink.  I adhered stems cut from Granny Apple Green and Pear Pizzazz card, and embossed the cardstock with my Subtle 3D embossing folder.  The flower heads were glued on to the stems after I'd embossed the background.  I white-embossed the sentiment on Melon Mambo card, and trimmed the flagged banners using Paper Snips.

I like the embossed texture on the stems:
