It's time for another Colour Creations Showcase, co-ordinated by the lovely Cathy Proctor. This week we are focussing our creative efforts on Crushed Curry, a rich, deep, yellow from Stampin' Up!'s colour range. Cathy has a comprehensive list on her blog of all the participants in this week's share. We would love it if you visited all our blogs, and left us some comment love.
I've chosen to use a colour combination suggested by Stampin' Up! ... that I NEVER would have come up with myself! I have to say, I really love it.
For my birthday a few weeks ago, one of the gifts I received from some dear crafty friends was the Many Mates bundle of products. I have used the Many Medallions dies only, as the background for my card tonight. I used the largest die (there are four awesome dies in this pack - check them out, on page 176 of the Annual Catalogue), to cut a piece of Whisper White card, that I then mounted on a Thick Whisper White card base. I then used the Arrange A Wreath bundle to create a wreath in my three chosen colours. Don't you think they work so well together?
I laid a thin strip of Whisper White card across the card front (below the wreath), and overlaid the "Love" die-cut heart. The word "Sending" is from the very versatile Well Said stamp set. Here's a closer look. Please ignore the stray card fibres on the "Love" cut-out ... I've fixed those now!
Make sure you go to Cathy's blog, to see who else is sharing their Crushed Curry creations tonight. You're sure to find some inspiration for using Stampin' Up! products.
All the products used on my card are listed below, and are available to purchase from my online store. NB: I have just realised that the Crushed Curry Crinkled Seam Binding is retired (oh dear - sorry about that!). If you live in Australia, I'd love for you to shop with me for your craft supplies. You can get to my store by clicking on any of the thumbnail images below.
