FANCY PHRASES FLIRTY FLAMINGO BIRTHDAY CARD WITH MANY MEDALLIONS DIE CUT STRIPS

When I sat down to create with my new Fancy Phrases stamp set, I made three cards.  I had two firm favourites, plus this card.  When I showed my son all three cards, this was his favourite!  I almost didn't share it, because I'm not so happy with it - but, I figure if Ethan likes it, it might appeal to some of you, too.

I think what bothers me about this card is that the Watercolor Paper, on which I stamped and watercoloured the floral image, is very cream compared to the Whisper White card I used on the base.  I also am not big on geometric shapes, and don't think the Stitched Nested Labels dies were the best choice for cropping the flowers.  However, it's something different for me, and it's always good to step out of our comfort zones, isn't it?

I do love the die-cut strips across the panel of Whisper White card, that I'd embossed with the Subtle 3D embossing folder.  The five die-cut strips were created using the Many Medallions Dies.  There are three awesome border dies in this set, that I didn't even notice in the catalogue - I'd been focussed on the larger intricate die.
