STAMPIN' UP! HEART OF CHRISTMAS - WEEK 9

Monday night means it's blog hop time, for a group of us who are Stampin' Up! demonstrators in Australia.  We are sharing ideas for using Stampin' Up! products on Christmas projects, and will continue to do this weekly until mid-December.

Here's my card for this week.  I have used several different products, but the only stamping (the two sentiments) is done with the Christmas to Remember stamp set.

I started off creating the tag, cutting one tag from Basic White card and a second from the gold and white patterned paper from the Simply Elegant Specialty Designer Series Paper pack.  I trimmed the paper down, to half the tag size, and adhered it to the front of the Basic White tag.  The sweet star wreath was cut from Gold Foil paper, using a Seasonal Swirls Die, and the gold hole enforcement ring was cut from a Tailor Made Tags Die.  After stamping the sentiment in Real Red ink on a piece of Basic White card, I cut it out using the co-ordinating Seasonal Labels Die.  A Real Red bird was cut using a Beautiful Trees Die.  Isn't the embossed background, created with the Merry Melody 3D embossing folder, just lovely?

I stamped the second sentiment in Versamark ink, on Gold Foil paper, and heat-embossed it with white embossing powder and my heat tool.  After adhering this panel to the card front, I laid some Gold Shimmer Ribbon across the card, and added a Real Red Satin Ribbon bow.

Next up on tonight's blog hop is Sharon Davern.  If you click on the button below, you'll be taken to her blog.

  4. So elegant and refined, Christine. I love how you've used the tag on the divine merry melody embossing folder and used nearly all gold and white on the card, with just a pop of red.

  8. Christine, this is my favourite card that you have created so far this HOC. I love everything about it. It is simply perfection. Funny thing......I spent all day the other day looking for a small bird diecut or stamp and die. I knew I had seen one but do you think I could remember where. I couldn't use the one I had previously used because the bundle is now retired. Then I open to your blog and there it is. The sweet little bird from the Beautiful Trees dies. Thanks so much for solving my mystery.

  10. As always your card is next level. It's just all those little elements that put your beautiful cards a cut above. Like the gold for the eyelet and the little red bird, and who would've thought the red and gold ribbons would go so well together. Another beautiful elegant card
