STAMPIN' UP! DELICATE BAUBLES CHRISTMAS CARD - CHERRY COBBLER

This week's colour focus, for our Colour Creations blog hop, is Cherry Cobbler.  It is a dark red, that I like to use on Christmas cards.  Because I'm in the thick of creating Christmas cards, that is what I will be sharing with you tonight.

My card has been created with some new dies and papers, that have just come out in Stampin' Up!'s Mini Catalogue.  There is no stamping on this card - it's all about the colour, and the beautiful intricate detail on the die-cut bauble!

To a Thick Basic White card base, I added a layer of Cherry Cobbler card.  On top of this are two panels of patterned paper from the Sweet Stockings Designer Series Paper pack.

There are two of each bauble shape in the Delicate Baubles Die set - one (in this case, the Basic White layer) cuts out a solid, slightly larger, shape, and the other (the Cherry Cobbler) a smaller, intricate, die cut piece that mats beautifully on the solid shape.  The hanging bow is cut from Gold & Rose Gold Metallic Paper, and snipped at the top with Paper Snips.

A few Gilded Gems finish off my simple card design.

Listed below are the products I used to create my card.  If you live in Australia, and would like to shop with me for your Stampin' Up! supplies, you can get to my online store by clicking on any of the thumbnail images below.

I have made a second card featuring Cherry Cobbler, and will share it on my blog tomorrow.  I hope you'll come back to see it!

  3. Hmm, I'd skipped over these dies, and now I'm wondering if that was a mistake! Your card is fabulous. My fancy is especially tickled by the bow - it's so cute with the curled ends!

  7. Lovely card, Christine, you have no need for stamping with that gorgeous big bauble and the words die cut into it. The gold accent touches are gorgeous and adds a beautiful touch of elegance.
