STAMPIN' UP! SO MUCH HAPPY BRIGHT BIRTHDAY CARD

I don't gravitate towards bright colours in my crafting, so decided to challenge myself to use several colours from the Brights 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper pack.  I also don't make many cards suitable for children, so had that in mind when I created this card, that I think would be nice for a girl (or for a boy who likes bright colours).

The starting point for this card, and for the one I'll be sharing tomorrow, was an idea I borrowed from Michele Taylor.  I really loved how Michele used the stitched rectangle die, from Ornate Layers - it fits perfectly across a card front.  Genius!  So, I cut 6 strips of brightly-coloured paper, and stacked them on a Thick Whisper White card front.  I then added some cute balloons, and a bright sentiment, from the So Much Happy bundle.  A smattering of Basic Black flowers (cut using Wreath Builder dies) finished off the design.

I used one of the Hippo Dies to cut around the sentiment, and adhered the label over the top of the balloon strings.

If you would like to buy the products I used to make this card, you can get to my online store by clicking on any of the thumbnail images below.  I would love for you to shop with me, if you live in Australia, and don't already have a Stampin' Up! demonstrator.

Please come back to visit tomorrow, to see my second bright and happy birthday card!
