STAMPIN' UP! BUTTERFLY BIRTHDAY CARD FOR TCH#22

The colour challenge at Color Hues called out to me this week!

I've used Granny Apple Green and Bermuda Bay, with lots of white and a few black touches.

Starting off with a piece of Basic White card, I glued 1.5cm-wide horizontal strips of Granny Apple Green and Bermuda Bay card on top.  I cropped this piece with a Stitched Rectangles Die, and used the "holey" die from the Brilliant Wings set to create a "peekaboo" background.  I like that these holes, showing the Stitched Greenery background, look like white splatters.

Before die-cutting the butterfly, I stuck a piece of adhesive sheet to the reverse side of my Basic White card scrap; this made it much cleaner to adhere the intricate die cut to my card.

This close-up shot shows the stitched scalloped edge I attached to the top of the main panel, and the glittery bow that adds a bit of drama:

On a leftover strip of Bermuda Bay card, I white heat-embossed the sentiment, and added Matte Black Dots to finish off the design:

Listed below are all the products I used to make this card.  If you live in Australia, and would like to shop with me for your Stampin' Up! supplies, you can get to my online store by clicking on any of the thumbnail images below.
