STAMPIN' UP! BLUSHING BRIDE FLORAL BIRTHDAY CARD

Playing with Blushing Bride for this week's Colour Creations blog hop, I came up with another card.  I was inspired by this card, created by the very talented Gayatri Murali.  I love the crisp, graphic, look of Gayatri's card, but have used more of a "Christine" touch, with softer colours, added embossing, and a bow.

I started off by stamping leaves, and background splatters, in Blushing Bride ink, using stamps from Forever Fern.  I also flicked some ink, using the brush tip against the inside of the lid, of my Dark Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends marker.  A couple of small flowers (from Artistically Inked) were stamped in the top left hand corner, using Memento Tuxedo Black ink,  before I embossed this Basic White piece using the Brick & Mortar 3D embossing folder.

Using Artistically Inked, I stamped one flower in Blushing Bride ink, and four in Smoky Slate ink (with smaller flowers in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, as the flower centres), then die-cut them.  A few leaves were stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, then also die cut.

In this closer shot, you can see the shimmer of the Clear Wink of Stella I painted onto the flowers:

A closer look at the background splatters, embossing, and the Clear Epoxy embellishments:

The sentiment, from Artistically Inked, was stamped on Basic White card, using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I used the Messages Die to cut it out, before adding a white twine bow, and a Rose Gold butterfly cut using a Nature's Thoughts Die.

Listed below are all the products I used to make this card.  If you live in Australia, and would like to shop with me for your Stampin' Up! supplies, you can get to my online store by clicking on any of the thumbnail images below.
